Thought I'd take a glance at the current forecasts from Stockopedia, to see how they look currently.

FWIW, normalised earnings for 2022 and 2023 respectively are forecast to be 32.8p and 34.7p.

Dividends are forecast to be 19.3p and 20.3p, again respectively for '22 and '23

A quick reminder of the summation from the recent trading update:-

Sir Nigel Wilson, Chief Executive, Legal & General, said:

"Our year-to-date operating performance is in line with expectations, with cash and capital generation running slightly ahead of our five-year ambition and ROE at c20%. This reflects the strong execution of our stated strategy - which is closely aligned to long-term structural growth drivers such as ageing demographics, investing in the real economy, and addressing climate change - both in the UK and, more recently, in the US. The Group's overall exposure to inflation is minimal and our balance sheet is strong: the recent increase in solvency provides further security and optionality. We remain confident in Legal & General's ability to grow profits sustainably and at attractive returns over the long-term."

I’m intrigued CWA1 that you have a need to do this! I promised that I wouldn’t post until certain circumstances were met and have kept to that as a respect to you. I consider you to be one of the few sound of mind on these threads and fair. Obviously I’m quite clued up really but over the years have become numb and oblivious to the total cretins that exist on this site with the end result becoming one of them but obviously better. My question is why did you start a moderated thread who made you decide enough was enough because you did this way before I ever posted and now a moderated moderated thread!

I agree with RCTurner too but the difficulty is that there is no agreed or absolute way to calculate "fair value". There are any number of ways to define it depending on the methods and assumptions used, each of which will give different figures, possibly wildly different, and frequently excessively optimistic in my experience.
