Interim results said divi paid to shareholders on register as at close of business 4th March (ie last Friday). Doesn't that mean it goes xd today?

hi smoky...yes I noticed that although I'm looking for 7 figure volume.

I wouldn't take much notice of the price movement straight after. What I don't understand is what the C and T columns are on the Trades screen - a pity because this trade has a C against it!

Hi gleach23,

Looks like one of your wishes came true - a reasonable sized buy just took place:

14:28 - 03/03 Buy 75000 141.19p £105,892.50

Now what I don't understand is how that buy caused the share price to drop slightly straight after (only by a penny or so but it's the mechanics that has me puzzled).

Am I missing something?! I thought it was all about supply and demand which dictated the price!

I know it's gone ex-div today but it's making hard work of this climb. I'd like to see some volumes come through to clear out a big seller or 2 followed by 'Holdings' RNSs to confirm. Hopefully that would take us up through £1.50 again.

Don't anybody bother with the the Financial Calendar on the Investor Centre page of LVD's website as it is as much use as a chocolate teapot. Perhaps they ought to do something about it.............

Thanks everyone. I think they phrase it badly; it always sounds from what the companies say like you have to be holding at 4.30 tomorrow (in this case) when in fact it was last night at 4.30. Anyway - it's in the bag!

Never ceases to amaze how much trouble there is with dividend dates when it is, in fact, fairly simple and spelled out by the company!

Spud,that is the register date.

deadly is correct.If you buy today you will be buying ex rights and not recieve the dividend.
