I would imagine the shares are going down as a report in the FT says aly put PPI on gift cards and therefore could be vulnerable to an investigation and similar payout as per the banks

Placing your holding for sale in order to manipulate the spread is something entirely different and is illegal I believe.

Placing your holding for sale is one way to stop shorting
so nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

I do have an awful lot of these, but by am I tempted to buy more.

Who cares,if it gets the price down to buy.When I stated sell order.All I did was put in order,s of 20,000,25,000,and 30,000,and then cancelled.

My son just opened up an ISA. I thought Ok buy some ALY for him.To get the price down,I put a sell order in for my holding of 75,000 Shares.Straight away the spread goes from 24-25.50 to 22.75-24.But you can now buy at around 24,and under,and to sell 23.55.But all are buys and only 3 sells so far today of 24,and 24.12.

Would be nice to get some growth back in to ALY.Been stuck in a 22-25 channel it seems forever.Will go to over 30p,again in due time.Good long term hold.And a great income stock with 8% yield.

Bonhom Industries Ltd is the private vehicle of CEO Dr Khoo Kay Peng. Bonhom is registered in the Cayman islands (don't be confused with a company of the same name registered in England). Bonhom has been around for decades and Laura Ashley shares are only a small part of the holdings of that company.

State the nature of the transaction

"A CHARGE GRANTED OVER THE SHARES AS SECURITY FOR A LOAN BY AFFIN BANK BERHAD. BONHAM INDUSTRIES LIMITED REMAINS AS BENEFICIAL OWNER OF THE SHARES"

So the shares are being used as security on a bank loan - maybe to fund the divorce or maybe for something completely different - hard to tell.

Maybe shielding assets from the UK situation, perhaps.

I hope the situation is resolved as soon as possible now as
management time must be being wasted.
