14/8/2005 14:41 | Big_Cat No, just have good contacts, having previously worked in the city for many years (now a professional private investor) Still haven't caught up with the news on Lapp Plats, hope to get round to it this week Mark | marksnsparkle

12/8/2005 08:51 | stewart3252 There was a South African deal on the table but favourable terms could not be agreed, basically the project was very good but the guys who owned it wanted to much for it (i.e. current shareholders would have been greatly diluted) As a result Lapp Plats have now switched there focus to a new deal and are in the process of agreeing terms. I have been out of the loop for about a week so it could be that in that time things have progressed, I will let you know if I hear anything Mark | marksnsparkle
11/8/2005 16:40 | Shares are very tightly controlled by a few shareholders, and the market is very thin. I suspect that there may be a reverse takeover of the company, which could see the shares hitting £1 in 3/4 months. Not for the faint hearted though as, due to the thin market, it could well end up as a see saw ride. As always DYOR............ | big_cat
11/8/2005 16:08 | This seems to be starting to move, have been very patient, it is hard to get info on them, any thoughts Marksparkle | stewart3252
31/7/2005 20:48 | Hi thecynical1 Yes Libya has been off the cards for a while; hence I dropped it from the title of the thread The emphasis is on getting the best deal for shareholders and the Libyan deal did not prove to be that Cheers Mark | marksnsparkle
31/7/2005 14:06 | hi mark...interesting news.....strange however because I understood that the emphasis was supposed to have been elsewhere....!!!!!!! nice to see that they have their contacts in the press on the other hand...still holding...have topped up since I posted here last time. have a fun day! | thecynical1
31/7/2005 14:01 | Hi stewart3252 I am very keen on Chaco (CHP), but have nothing new to share Still waiting for a deal in Lapp Plats (which will come) and can confirm that Tom OâGorman did travel to South Africa for negotiations, however I can not confirm how close they are to reaching a deal (terms are still being discussed) From the Sunday Times, Sunday July 31, 2005 âAfter a lull in activity of late, things might start to get interesting again. Michael Nolan, its chairman, and Tom OâGorman, a lead shareholder, visited South Africa earlier this month to eye up two potential mining projects." âDetails are thin on the ground but further meetings with the promoters of at least one of these projects are believed to have taken place this weekend and a decision is expected soon.â | marksnsparkle
24/7/2005 14:38 | the cynical1, Hi I am still here and I continue to hold, bought @ 16p, confident of news and nice hyke in price. marksnsparkle, any thoughts on chaco as well as lapp plats, I increased my stake in them on Thursday now hold about 250,000 @ average of about 4p. I like this company. Colombian deal looks good as well as their interests in Paraguay, I can see Chaco being a real high return in 2005 and perhaps even bigger in 2006, I will hold until price is substantial and I do mean substantial. | stewart3252
23/7/2005 12:55 | afternoon all...not a lot of activity here.....have you guys all sold up and moved on?....still holding.....still reckon that this could be stunning......but also reckon that there is not going to be much in the way of news here until the Autumn.jmo. if anybody reckons any different...please comment. thanks. | thecynical1
24/6/2005 13:13 | Hi stewart3252 The share price is very quiet but there is plenty of action behind the scenes I am reliably informed A deal is being negotiated as we speak, but you are going to have to be patient To be frank if I didn't already have a large stake I would be a buyer at these levels and definitely not a seller Mark | marksnsparkle
23/6/2005 18:30 | Marks, been very quiet here not much movement on price, any thoughts on news | stewart3252
13/6/2005 14:34 | "Marksnsparle Do you have any info to share. This seem s a bit quiet at the moment. Nice to see Chaco beginning to flower. Alfred" Hi Alfred Palfred In answer to your question posted on the old Lapp Plats thread We are just waiting for a deal to be announced, don't expect much action until then The good news is that I have heard from a very good source that several deals are on the table and are being negotiated, but do not expect any announcement for some months as negotiations are still in the early stages. A deal will come, but patience is required, these matters always take longer than expected Mark PS Yep good to see Chaco having a run | marksnsparkle
