Good results and good outlook.

LARD are way oversold IMHO

This looks an interesting situation, and results released on 15/3 seem to confirm that the restructuring undertaken recently is taking effect.

Earnings profile for the past and future 2 years look like this:

Current price= 347p

03 = 21.6p (A)
04 = 25.9p(A)
05 = 30p(E)
06 = 35p(E)

This represents growth of 15-20%pa , and seems to suggest the company is at least capable of getting onto the sector average rating of x14 at some stage over the next 1/2 years, with a possible resultant price of 500p.

Other factors favouring a rerating include a significant shift in production to low cost countries such as China and Eastern Europe, the possibility of further aquisitions to enhance earnings and a steadily rising dividend.

Something good appears to be coming when the results are announced tomorrow as there has been healthy and sizeable buying of LARD yesterday and this morning. A couple of sellers at 140p which is to be expected, but no doubting the momentum

LARD are now 222.5p, up 10% in the last 10 days.
With the share going EX-d tomorrow (10.8p) will the share loose all of it's gains??
There have been over 200,000 buys so far today, far greater than usual so I was thinking the price might hold. What do you think?? A re-rating of this share could be due.

rossy- ihavnt followed this for ages

directrs purchased on the 26th march, volume hasnt really increased,though there seems to be a big seller in the market - if he has sold his stock- good news, could be the reason its moved up today . Note the price reflcts the slow down all companies have talked about,but this is the only stock which hasnt really moved up.
based on last y years profits pe of 5.6,and dividend 16p looks good value at £2.18

Looking on the bright side of today's 28% fall in price on the back of a fairly messy set of results I think I get a figure of of 17.7p eps from continuing operations which at 197p offer price is a pe of 11 against the new sector's average quoted in this thread above of 17 (though I can't vouch for the veracity of this and, let's face it, sector average pe's must have been dropping like crazy over the last few days - does anyone know where to source these ?). Plus buy today at 197p and get 5% back on the dividend in June.

I don't know anything about them other than what I've just read in the results RNS and only looked that up after seeing them in the top fallers list. So please quidquid prudenter agas as the Romans might say when they mean DYOR.

Any thoughts people ?

Regards,

tom

i think investors should spend a bit of time taking a look at this old company
that is trying to turn itself in to a high tech player.

take a look at the funnymentals and the graph, an interesting situation and worth a look i feel.
