28/10/2019 08:36 | possibly lingering concerns about Senegal. | xxnjr
28/10/2019 08:32 | muted response to 13 Tcf :) | fraserdean
28/10/2019 07:33 | Nice discovery at ORCA. Timeline for sale down extended into 2020 to give suitors time to analyse Orca data. | xxnjr
28/10/2019 01:30 | Fast Hauler ETA:2019-10-27 10:00 LT (UTC -5) Reported Destination: MC214 ENSCO8503 So back on 'Moneypenny' | xxnjr
26/10/2019 20:31 | Pacific Gull (or the other un-named OSV) half way back to Luba. The drilling goes on. | xxnjr
25/10/2019 14:20 | Not much activity around the rig with one OSV laying off at about 1km, suggesting S5 continuing to drill on. Seems the supply base is Luba Freeport on Bioko Island. Pacific Gull has recently departed Luba - looks to be on a heading for rig, but it's too early into voyage to say. [Edit: PG arrived at rig, took about 15hrs] | xxnjr
19/10/2019 09:25 | NYSE KOS closed $5.58 +0.5% 0n Vol of 4.1m which is kind of normal volume. Ensco 8503 now gone walkabout again! Went to 'Grand Isle 91' last night according to Marine Traffic, but now retracing steps. BSEE had it on 'Rampart Deep' last week, 'Moneypenny' current week. Seems to be heading back to 'Rampart Deep', or 'Moneypenny' again. Not much point of following these daily 8503 gyrations. Will wait for Q3's!. Edit: 'Fast Hauler' ETA 8503 MC28 2019-10-22 04:30 LT UTC - 8503 loading up between drills | xxnjr
18/10/2019 11:23 | thanks, mustnt overlook these unglamourous tie-backs, cheap profits, G-13 should be finishing around now, interested to know if there is a seller her like before when blackstone sold up or if it's just an extremely high beta to the oil price, anybody got a clue? | fraserdean
18/10/2019 09:52 | Ensco 8503 is now on MC 214 targeting 'Moneypenny'! | xxnjr
17/10/2019 18:00 | The 3rd Q4 GoM well 'Oldfield' MC 728 (KOS 100%) was notionally about 30mmbo. KOS also wanted adjoining MC 684 to N, bidding $2m in Lease Sale 252, but were outbid by Hess (100%) $10.1m, their highest single bid in that sale. Subsequently a swap was done with KOS giving up 60% of 728 for 40% of 684. Implying 684 holds about 45mmbo (all else being equal). Well permit shows 'Oldfield' being drilled right on boundary between the two blocks, reinforcing comments on last call that this is potentially one prospect straddling 2 blocks. Should be interesting! KOS have 8503 for 6 wells (Sep 2019 to Apr 2020) + 1 x 140 day extension. | xxnjr
17/10/2019 17:32 | Correction. Ensco 8503 is actually a few blocks away on MC 117, which turns out to be 'Rampart Deep' an undeveloped discovery previously made by DGE a few years back. (DGE was subsequently acquired by KOS) However on 30/9/19 KOS transferred its 30% share of MC 117 Block to Talos/ILX/Ridgewood exiting the block. Ensco 8503 under contract to KOS, seems to have been loaned out to Talos etc to drill 'RD', which has permitting for a side-track. In short: Moneypenny not spud as yet. | xxnjr
14/10/2019 11:22 | 'Resolution' appears to have spud in a water depth of 1888ft on or about 2/Oct with the West Capricorn semi-sub although seems to have encountered a mechanical issue shortly thereafter at 3911ft, if I'm understanding BSEE data correctly. The other GoM rig Ensco 8503, now Valaris 8503, has gone off the radar, but was kind of in the 'Moneypenny' area about 1 wk ago so that must be underway too. | xxnjr
11/10/2019 17:32 | Suitors maybe waiting to see what Orca brings to the table before finalising offers. | xxnjr
08/10/2019 14:42 | cheers tullow and kosmos still talking to subsea firms re massive seven year life of field project in Ahana, a lot of wells and keeping production right up. Hopefully by Nov 4 they should have a very good idea on Mauritania sale, if it really is going to close this year. | fraserdean
08/10/2019 08:01 | Not rns'd in UK.... "Kosmos Energy to Host Third Quarter 2019 Results And Webcast on November 4, 2019" ps, ref earlier post about Rigs in Guy-Sur Basin, Staatsolie have West Castor jack up drilling a speculative well on the shelf, only about 30kms N of Paramiribo. | xxnjr
07/10/2019 00:54 | Does not look like it. Rig probably still on previous slot. | xxnjr
06/10/2019 16:35 | Have Tullow started drilling Carapa? Can't find much on it.Cash | cashandcard
06/10/2019 14:36 | Doing your homework :) | fraserdean
05/10/2019 15:41 | Off topic'ish. Exxon's Guyana Ranger-2 10 day DST 'with intermittent gas flaring' was delayed by the look of it. Should start any day now with Stena Carron, according to latest permitting. Meanwhile Noble Bob Douglas is working on Liza, Noble Tom Madden is about 50Kms to the SE (probably finishing off Tripletail discovery as TM's next well Uaru-1 well only 10km east of the Liza field). Later this month Noble Don Taylor will become Exxon's 4th drillship in Guyana. And then over the border Apache are drilling about 60Kms SSE of NTM with Noble Sam Croft, in a location that to my untrained eyes seems bottom to mid-slope, rather than beyond bottom of slope, so maybe in 500ft to 1000ft of water. Back in EG Maersk Voyager still drilling ahead on G13, now called S5 well. Slightly to the NE, a tanker is in the area very close to Sendje Ceiba FPSO, possibly to pick up a crude cargo. | xxnjr
30/9/2019 10:29 | Yep, bit of a news flow over the next few months, Mauritania, GoM, EG but interesting to see sale price for LNG projects, high hopes there if the world can fend off recession for a few more months... | fraserdean
26/9/2019 12:09 | EG interesting. CMD Pres - G13 has 3 fault blocks with 3 wells drilled. The middle fault block hasn't been drilled, the East & West FB's have one well penetration each, both of which were oil discoveries. The 3rd well was drilled off fairway but revealed oil and gas shows. So... IF K are drilling the middle fault block now, with down-dip oil in the W FB and up-dip oil in the E FB then this could be promising. | xxnjr
24/9/2019 09:02 | Always nice, that's teh two easy ones out of the way, Orca and the third hub now. Drilling away in EG, that could be a nice future if successful, cheapish tie-back with loads of other similar prospects here and in GoM for the years ahead. Onwards and upwards Rodney. | fraserdean
23/9/2019 07:09 | Successful 9km step out at Yakaar-2. | xxnjr
07/9/2019 10:39 | Ranger in Guyana seems to be getting bigger, as XOM are running a drill stem test next week. Read through to Walker on Blk 42 Suriname. | xxnjr
22/8/2019 10:32 | Try and keep a lid on it :). They're getting quite safe with all the GoM stuff, almost like they are trying to get sale ready. | fraserdean |
