16/12/2016 07:35 | Opening around 10% down, what date are the results due? | tickler
16/12/2016 07:30 | According to the SP, market expectations are not that high! | soggy
15/12/2016 12:28 | The following got a little lost amongst the placing rns last month.Current tradingThe Group continues to trade strongly and is trading in line with market expectations in respect of the current financial year. | harebridge
15/12/2016 12:07 | The article says 8.31%. They say they're not looking to dump it all at once but will start next quarter. I guess it will depend on how attractive the company is to other investors as to whether the share price will hold up. The next set of results look even more important now | andy mack
15/12/2016 11:11 | How much does HT media hold? Will then offloading make the share price go down further | adealsiddiq110
15/12/2016 10:30 | Nice for HT Media to have bought at 25p a share, and now wants to offload in the next quarter. Oh well at least share price has gone up, so they will make even more money, while we SH wait in vain !! | maloneyt
15/12/2016 10:22 | top slicing, nothing wrong in that, sell half, keep half. | isaready
15/12/2016 09:50 | Thanks Harebridge, they certainly seem like happy customers.. | bprofit
15/12/2016 09:43 | HT Media posted poor results & announced the other week that it has to sell its stake in Koovs next quarter. | harebridge
15/12/2016 09:00 | Bprofit- just check out the reviews on social media over the last week. The brand is becoming established & Koovs have invested heavily into customer care. | harebridge
15/12/2016 08:14 | Was merely pointing out the flaws in your post monnow. No need to get nasty. My philosophy is that if a company is unlikely to go bust then the lower the share price gets, primarily on emotion, then the better value the shares. You however seem inclined to sell if they fall lower. As Buffett also said, pessimism is a friend of savvy investors, because it brings with it good prices. It's wild optimism that should make investors wary. :0) | taurusthebear
14/12/2016 21:27 | I do not own Koovs, but they are on my watch list and remain under review.. I like parts of the story but still have some reservations.I like the people involved and the growth opportunity the Indian market offers. Sales growth is very impressive to date.My main concern is the large UK cost base and impact this will have on profitability. In the highly competitive Indian marketplace I think this is important. I.e UK salaries vs local Indian salaries and other similar UK based costs vs Indian based costs... This will make it hard to compete with local competitors and generate all important profits... Maybe with a growth in volume it will improve? I continue to keep it under review..Meanwhile, I would be interested to hear from anyone living in india who has first hand experience? Do they deliver on time? What is the quality of the merchandise like? Does the Returns policy work etc? | bprofit
14/12/2016 19:13 | It's not hedging if both are in the same sector. As for not chasing poor performance, why haven't you sold, since these used to be over 70p? Doh! :0) | taurusthebear
14/12/2016 17:37 | adealsiddiq : Yes run the winners, I think were probably airborne with both holdings, good luck to you and all holders in 2017. | monnow
14/12/2016 17:01 | Hello Monnow,I purchased them both the same time as you and both have worked out quite well however no plans to hedge at the moment pending the news.So similar boat to you.Let the runners run and cut the losers out is my moto. | adealsiddiq110
14/12/2016 16:55 | I bought into Koov and Boo early January 2016, equal amounts went into both. My idea was to Hedge, approaching the twelve month period and time to review pending updates.. I think I am going to stick with both.( Pending negative news )Dont agree with a top up at 30p, I never chase poor performance, road to ruin.. Does anyone else hedge a pair, in a similar manner ? Also worked a few years back for me in blue chip Pharma. | monnow
14/12/2016 15:37 | Because that's when the markdown, if it happens, will come. But for me, unless devastating overspend coupled with less than impressive growth, 30p would be a great top-up. Internet retailers get sold off - look at the histories of BOO, MYSL and G4M - but they invariably come back stronger. :0) | taurusthebear
14/12/2016 15:34 | Bitt- just remember the following:The Times Group pumped £3.9 million into Koovs the other week"The Times Group is India's leading national multi-media organisation with some of the most popular English language TV channels and publications. The investment arm of the Group has a track record of investing in high growth digital companies with strong prospects in the Indian market."The Times Group & all the other Institutions, Lord Waheed Alli, Mary Turner, Robert Bready, Peel Hunt etc etc are a little bit more switched on than anybody that posts on here (including me!) | harebridge
14/12/2016 15:27 | Very risky punt CatsWhiskas as results will be out before Christmas, why not wait for them before deciding which way to bet? | bittorrent
14/12/2016 00:19 | Its a risky punt but I'm going short on this one back to 30p deeply discounted fund raising is the clue for me and gives a degree of protection on a wrong call . | catswhiskas
13/12/2016 23:44 | Look forward to their GMV hitting a lakh crore.. :0) | taurusthebear
13/12/2016 18:52 | A great interview from a couple of months ago with Mary Turner CEOKoovs' GMV target at the beginning of this year was Rs 100 crore. How close are you to reaching this target? What strategies are being used to reach this target? We have already achieved our GMV target of Rs 100 crore for FY 2016. We have seen a 189 per cent increase in annual sales (Rs 981 million) and 110 per cent increase in website visits Y-o-Y, with weekly traffic now consistently exceeding one million visits per week. These are very promising figures. The strategy going forward, is to continue to focus on the affordable western wear segment and build a strong and distinctive brand. When do you expect to break even?As per our business plan we aim to be profitable in the next three years. | harebridge |
