07/9/2010 14:56 | Spekky - re holders and round numbers - totally agree with you! Whether it is an age thing or simply psychological, I don't know. I am about to look in detail again at the last annual report to try and disentangle the three months of Optivite from the Kiotech contribution. I am prompted to do so because based on my memory, I believe Optivite may have performed worse in those three months than in the previous period based on the data we were given for the period running up to the takeover. If I am right, unless this trend has been reversed, next week's results may prove to be a disappointment (despite the up-beat statements we have been given). If the trend has been reversed, we may be treated to a substantial increase in gross profit for the first half next week and maybe a corresponding movement in the share price. | blenkinsop2
07/9/2010 14:17 | There's probably only one course of action (post results) for the BOD to convince most of us that this is a good idea.......lets see if they do the right thing. | spekky
07/9/2010 14:05 | Agree ljsquash, Uneven amounts always lead to shares being lost to the investor, despite having been paid for in full. I too have lost money through consolidation, and therefore I am opposed to it. | aratrum
07/9/2010 13:47 | 23 could too depending on how the share price reacts next week. | spekky
07/9/2010 12:57 | And 25 would have given the £1 target. | ljsquash
07/9/2010 12:40 | blenkinsop2 I'm sure most holders prefer to hold nice round numbers of shares so I was thinking more a factor of 20 or 25 which still leaves folk like me with a pretty simple number to remember (its an age thing probably)........:-) | spekky
07/9/2010 12:30 | 23 divides into 420.9 million exactly 18.3 times. 23 is indeed an odd number but to keep things neat and tidy, the only other options would have been to choose 3 which divides 140.3 (too much) or 69 which divides 6.1 (possibly too small) | blenkinsop2
07/9/2010 11:52 | Agreed still keeps it sub £1, so mm's can fleece it all the way back to 4p! | ljsquash
07/9/2010 11:31 | Can't say I've been involved with any but am aware of what happened at TAN recently, however the story there was already a bit of a basket case when the consolidation went through.Next weeks financials will determine whether I stick or fold. | spekky
07/9/2010 11:30 | Interims next week on Wednesday 15th. | masurenguy
07/9/2010 11:17 | Every share consolidation I have been involved in has cost me money, so I am firmly against this proposal. Just had the full document in the post. | ljsquash
06/9/2010 13:51 | Yes,taken together with the recent appointments it looks likely that KIO are preparing for something significant, perhaps another acquisition?..... we'll get some clues next week maybe. | spekky
06/9/2010 13:14 | It's certainly a confident, long-term decision. | beardmore
06/9/2010 11:56 | Presumably this is going to save KIO a lot of money in the future, "security of tenure on which to make long term investment decisions and will be earnings enhancing." | spekky
06/9/2010 08:48 | They want your shares today. | spekky
23/8/2010 09:15 | Some interesting appointments recently,........hmm AND EDIT...Six items down . | spekky
13/8/2010 16:40 | Can't see the justification for a rise back to 4p bid unless they're trying to tempt sellers out. | spekky
13/8/2010 09:54 | 4p bid always seems to attract sellers (who never get 4p BTW)....frustrating indeed. | spekky
13/8/2010 09:40 | lump at the bid | shroder
13/8/2010 09:39 | Dive dive dive.......why the hell do they do that???....steady rise all morning to be taken out by a plunge in under 30 secs!!!!!!!!...blood | tailgunner2
11/8/2010 11:31 | Bet whoever bought 157K on plus earlier loves them too.......;-) | spekky
11/8/2010 11:23 | oh, those wonderful cuddly loveable mms :-))) | shroder
11/8/2010 11:00 | Beardmore It may well be,but Hugh Grant is an incredibly annoyimg actor,if you get my meaning. The market does not like that woolyness. | spekky
11/8/2010 10:59 | I think it's the mms 'avin a laff again, I threw out a 25k just to see if they were for real - | shroder |
