Bottom of page 9 and top of 10 for some familiar names,it seems Bayer are still involved too.I had a feeling they wouldn't walk away from this technology.

"but is still some way from being approved for commercial sale"

Yes,they definately got that bit right.I'm quite relieved to discover that Matrix is Unicorn Aim VCT (I'm just more familiar with Unicorn ).I've also read Cefas's latest sustainability report today wherein KIO get namechecked,I will try to find the link.

Extract: Kiotech manufactures and supplies high performance natural feed additives to global agriculture and aquaculture markets. The Board and management of the company were changed in June 2006. This change in management prompted a shift in strategic direction. A fundraising was arranged to finance the acquisition of an established, profitable and cash generative business in November 2006. This acquisition stabilized the business and allowed the required evelopment work to enable commercialisation of the aquaculture product to continue on a self-funding basis. This product has significant potential but is still some way from being approved for commercial sale. The enlarged group was recently able to report maiden profits since becoming a public company 10 years ago.

I particularly like the bit about products in development for Asian and European bass, eels bream, tuna, trout and salmon.I've always assumed they would have something for any fish that can be farmed/consumed by humans, its just nice to see it in print.
They also see it as a way of rounding up invasive species from places where they threaten the indigenous fish.......that too could be very useful.

Maarten has written a very good article for the Aquafeed mag on the use of pheromones. You will need to navigate to pages 29 and 30 (takes a bit of doing) and use a combo of zoom in/out to read it,its interesting stuff.KIO gets a plug.

That company based in The Netherlands is huge by comparison to KIO,coincidentally it swallowed an animal nutrition company that our Mr Scragg worked for (before Optivite).KIO are also showing pHorce at the ViV exhibition in The Netherlands in a few weeks time..........small world.

Masurenguy, If you look back at the RNS issued in August last year it states that the number of additional shares to be placed at 3p each was 158,410,233 so the shares in issue are presumably about 410m. However, ADVFN seem not to update these numbers until the following annual report i.e. we should see these numbers corrected within a few weeks. ADVFN do give a warning to the effect that numbers calculated for their chart may be out of date - "Calculation based on Ordinary Capital figure as contained in last annual report, and the most recent shares in issue figure. Therefore the ratio might be exposed to inaccuracies."

So your calculation of market cap is about right.

I've been doing a bit of research on this company. Looks like the ADVFN financials are wrong - they are quoting 251m shares and a market cap of £9.1m wheras I make it circa 420m shares after the August placing which would result in a market cap of around £15.2m. Could some existing holder please verify this !

That's a great blog relating to Ultrabite (now sold) but its worth posting for the fact that the Ultrabite line got hit 5 times more often than the untreated line.I'm still convinced Aquatice is the jewel here (but all the other stuff is great too).Looking forward to results and perhaps a nice surprise....(100% increase on dividend maybe)..............they can defo afford an eye catching gesture, they certainly did not have £5million in cash the last time they paid a divi.......just my opinion.

Growth from the Agil feed buisiness, the Optivite acquisition bedded in nicely in Q4, cash balance of £5m at year end and the balance sheet debt free. No wonder t 1ps have a 9p target for this one. They were somewhat unfortunate to tip this one just before the Optivite purchase and funraising was announced.

That latest 40k buy has moved L2 up to 2 v 1. Looking good for a weekly close >= 4p, which should see a few momentum traders take positions next week

Its very frustrating that the market finds KIO so easy to ignore.I agree with you ljsquash that more info about products would help.Particularly with Aquatice we seem to be permanently in the dark.We definately need some kind of "eureka" moment to grab some attention.

A good financial update, but I was hoping for an update on the products as well.
We shouldn't have to just exist on Spekky's excellent research!

In my post 447 I was musing that production might be centralised , this must ultimately lead to an asset sale assuming they own their current property........another big KERCHING might be on the cards.
