21/9/2021 16:58 | Who knows ? On a comparative sales multiplier it could be circa 200p but that seems excessive. Don't know what Pimlico's EBITDA is. If their pretax profit was circa £4.5m (post #86) then the price would be based on a PER of circa 30. Far too many unknown figures and factors invoved where Pimlico is concerned but nevertheless an interesting PEG deal ! | masurenguy
21/9/2021 16:45 | What's that value Kinovo at ? | nico115
21/9/2021 16:33 | Pimlico Plumber actually sold out for circa £145m ! Pimlico Plumbers sold to US group owned by KKR 21 September Pimlico Plumbers has been sold to what is said to be the world’s largest franchiser of home service brands in a deal that is believed to value the business at up to £145 million, bolstering the fortune of its founder, Charlie Mullins. Neighborly, a US home services group owned by KKR, the private equity giant, said yesterday that the acquisition expands the group’s portfolio to 29 brands operating across nine countries and nearly 1,500 associates operating in nine countries. The company, which generates annual revenues of nearly $70 million, is run by his son, Scott Mullins, 49. He will keep his role as Pimlico’s leading executive after the acquisition. 21/9/2021 16:25 | Do we want an mbo ?I want 100p 2 years out !!Short term no view This is a great 2 year story and Pimlico Bod has highlighted the value here Bullen is excellent | nico115
21/9/2021 16:20 | Good posts thanks. The read across on the plumbing deal is v. encouraging I agree. Let's hope management think the same and an MBO can get this bagging again from here. DYOR | qs99
21/9/2021 14:56 | You have 600k !! Nice posi I think I'm at 2m So maybe we can block an MBO !! Lol | nico115
21/9/2021 13:43 | me too. Im now at around 1% . went through the last annual report in much detail again today. feel like they have 4 full time ev fitters and that number needs to grow but its also an opportunity and having had a home point fitted its not hard electrics. just running the simple cashflow through on historic margins is clear too me that they can generate 12-15m in cash in the next 3 years . put that onto current market cap and you have c18p a share in cash with 4 good businesses on long term contract with the "green revolution" growth area. really happy with "boring" and visible as I think it could get taken private / mbo with those cashflows or as you have been kind enough to share put the earnings on 12x ex cash and you can get to 80p plus comfortably. only negative and it may just be historic job titles is they have 30 odd senior managers out of 263 employees. I suspect that comes from 4 firms under the umbrellas but equally they are spending money on IT to centralise everything so maybe some savings still to come. | wiganpunter
16/9/2021 23:53 | Thx v much for that Great scoop Totally agree and why I've added of late Not a short term punt No view over next 3 months I've invested on a 2 year view Maybe dead money for a while but I'm patient | nico115
16/9/2021 21:06 | nico115 / team hope you read the press today about pimlico plumbers selling out for £100m to us private equity. revs are c £44m and pre tax of £4.5m so its going for 2x revenues. whilst not a perfect Billy / kino read across for me it tells you there is appetite for "small" pe deals but in this space where the csh flow is good and leverage is small. as it happens kkr own a plumbing model in the usa so looks like would be added to that but nonetheless I see it as part fi why we own this name / see a lot of upside. | wiganpunter |
