gobbyash's article (thanks ga) says that KCOM is still in talks over the "possible sale of its UK network", to me that means the infrastructure not Affiniti. It goes on to say "Halbert said most of the company's growth will come from the National Managed Communications Services business", that is Affiniti so surely he's not thinking of selling it?

(Just passing through, not had time to look properly at results)

LONDON -(Dow Jones)- KCom Group PLC (KCOM.LN) said Tuesday it is still in talks with BT Group PLC (BT.LN) over the possible sale of its U.K. network and is looking to turn supply arrangements into partnership deals.

"We haven't concluded anything yet," and the company is also working with Cable & Wireless PLC (CW.LN) and Colt Telecom Group S.A. (COLT.LN), Executive Deputy Chairman Bill Halbert told Dow Jones Newswires.

"At the moment we're focusing on our cash generation and keeping our net debt down. In terms of future growth, we're not looking in the current year for headline growth," but the company expects growth in 2010 and beyond, Halbert said.

Halbert said most of the company's growth will come from the National Managed Communications Services business, adding that the East Yorkshire business is now more focused in terms of specific customer needs and is addressing both residential and local business.

"We've got strong banking facilities to March 2012; we want to put ourselves in a position by March 2011 where we're able to get net debt down to less than two times the current ratio," he said.

For fiscal 2009, ended March 31, KCom incurred a pretax loss after restructuring costs and impairment charges of GBP111.3 million, compared with a profit of GBP4.4 million in fiscal 2008.

Its from the same source that told me Fallen was getting the sack and the same source that gave me the heads up about the shocking figures over the last 18 months and all the other info i posted over the last 18 months on here.
I have no reason to doubt its true, but we shall see.

Eco of scale RTC.

I have been told that (IMS) will be passed onto BT to run, then the Fixed line business will be ramped up for a spin off.
In all honestey KCOM looks very good value at this price if it all turns out to be true.
I think it will happen.

LOL i did not expect the Telegraph to be a day behind the cent lol.

Well, if you want rumours, look no further than todays Telegraph:

Trouble is, the story is not consistent, it starts off with outsourcing the Network Infrastructure and ends up with outsourcing Affiniti (IMS). Yet again, a lazy journo not checking his facts. The outsourcing of the Network Infrastructure makes sense, but I just can't see why BT would want to take on Affiniti lock stock and barrel, given its own problems with Global Services.

This company is in a complete mess, everyone in the industry says so; out of date equipt; loss making depts; HUGH DEBTS;

Yet with all this stacked against it; the share price could well be over 40p in a month.

I just placed a small trade on KC but nothing showing on SETS. I wonder how many are being traded but not listed. I guess not many judging by the lack of interest here on this BB

Hi 25c, yep, that's what they reckon BT will be doing later this week:

Makes perfect sense for KCOM to follow suit.

I think Bill is more likely too cut that divi to reduce the group debt, and i think that would be the sensible thing to do.
He seems to know what he is doing and unlike Fallen who's only policy was to increase the divi as everything fell away around him.
