04/5/2009 10:27 | From yesterday's Sunday Times: "Kcom SOMETHING interesting is happening in Hull. From a low base, shares in Kcom, the city's local phone company, have risen by 80% in three months. Bill Halbert, drafted in as the boss last November after a terrible profit warning, has come up with a plan to tackle IMS, the company's troublesome systems integration arm. Some 150 jobs have already been cut, enough to push IMS back into profit in the fourth quarter. Defter action could give the business a more secure future. Kcom is expected to hand over the running of its national network to BT to reduce costs by £10m a year. The move, which could be announced with annual results on June 2, will turn IMS into a reseller of BT's corporate telecoms service outside its Hull heartland. Kcom is not out of the woods yet. Sales at IMS are forecast to have fallen by up to 15% this year and its markets remain highly competitive. Some analysts think that Kcom's full-year dividend, expected to be 1½p a share after a cut last November, may not be safe. That view appears misplaced as the payout is covered by the cash being thrown off by Kcom's East Yorkshire residential monopoly. Trading at just under eight times forward earnings, the shares may have a little bounce left in them." | realcooltrader
02/5/2009 19:37 | " Now I think I owe him a Bottle of cheap Whisky" Now that is likely the one thing maestro could DEFINITELY help you with ;-) | la vallette
02/5/2009 17:58 | Just found this confirming the South Yorkshire Digital Region project: And here's the Media Pack (4MB): Obviously a huge project, no mention of £s though? | realcooltrader

30/4/2009 14:58 | You have not got any debate in you, that's why you make up so many usernames so that you can agree with yourself. Yet another example above of your obsession with me and yet again another post by you that does not mention KCOM. Has your filter broke down again by any chance? lol | 25cent
30/4/2009 09:22 | Looks like its testing that 30p | 25cent
29/4/2009 13:14 | How hard do you think it is for me to spot the same sad free and usually "brand new" advfn user account person when all your posts you vomit onto these threads say exactly the same things? Talking of giving advice well try this yourself, TRY AND TALK ABOUT KCOM IN SOME OF YOUR POSTS! That's the sure fire way to spot you because in all your names on these threads you never ever mention KCOM you only ever mention me. Your completely fixated and obsessed with me, your a weirdo! it not normal behavior! You know full well i will crucify you when it comes to talking about kcom so with all your names you just attack me with the likes of that pathetic spinelss spitefull one above. Well as you can see in over 2 years of doing this you have achieved nothing! by any measure its been a total monumental failure! Go away troll. For the few noraml people on the thread, kcom still making steady headway and some large stock holdings bought over the last month or so. Looking good to test 30p in the next few days. | 25cent
29/4/2009 10:06 | You silly little man. I don't recall seeing any posts from you calling the bottom at 12p in February like the one below??????? 25cent - 17 Feb'09 - 10:08 - 599 of 635 edit Pete ,moneyman. In the last few weeks the whole look of kcom has changed sharprice wise. All of a sudden the level 2 order book looks stronger everyday instead of its normal weak self. Also the usually drip down has stopped, like i said last week in my opinion someone is subtly picking up stock in Kcom , and short term i can see it going up general market permitting! | 25cent

28/4/2009 17:43 | 25 cent, You seem to think that only premium paying clients have the right to an opinion on this or any other stock.I think you'll find the mkt is made up overwhelmingly of people who are not ADVFN premium payers and whose opinions, for better or for worse, decide the direction of mkts. You have repeated endlessly your vitriol regarding this stock.AN individual's entry point will determine their success or otherwise.I would point out that anybody entering at the low in Nov is now 150% ahead on this. | mikey34
25/4/2009 00:30 | 911 : PLANES WERE FAKED ON TV...NO EVIDENCE OF WRECKAGE ANYWHERE..NO BLACK BOX Anyone test drived the Ford aircar yet? if not read simons other thread called THE AIR CAR VERSUS THE ELECTRIC CAR...HAS GORDON BACKED THE WRONG ONE? 25/4/2009 00:00 | From the last results In Jan. "The current trading environment remains challenging for the Integration and Managed Services ("I&MS") business, which has seen revenue decline year on year by 10 per cent. In the light of the ongoing economic uncertainty, and its effect in particular on the I&MS business, the Group is undertaking a further headcount reduction of 150 employees within I&MS." Just out of sheer morbid curiosity Simon, erm can you give me the basic chain of thought that your having to make you believe that this is going up not only by a modest 400% but also to a 8 year high after a recent RNS saying its sales have fallen by 10% and its sacking 150 staff? Hell why stop at 400% that's so outrageously ridiculous why not push the boat out a tad and take a stab at a 100000000000% rise? 30p looks achievable 40p is very possible 50p unlikely anything else is just blatantly stupid. Moreover the company has massive debt a shrinking customer base. It also has a reliance on bussiness customer spending out cash in a deep recession and also a basically almost illegal monopoly blatantly extorting the people of hull who have no choice but to pay for below average products.. Or am i missing something? One last thing can we really take you seriously when you can not even get the share price correct? Its 24.5p to buy not 23p. Amazing! Entertain me boys.... | 25cent
24/4/2009 21:42 | 25cent THIS is the FREELOADER thread, | moneyman18

03/4/2009 20:16 | I hope so for one - held these all the way down from £3 years ago - have added some over time - need to reach about 60p before break even! Wish they would go back up to the previous dizzy heights of £16 - but £1 would be very nice - LOL | mutleymagic |
