Still not much volume here at all, but as long as the company will deliver a re-rate should only be a matter of time. Incidentally, they don't let you buy that many, 350k max at full ask 0.6p and 100k for 0.588p. The spread could be better really, with selling 500k at 0.47p.

Btw, sashimi, anything interesting in those tweets ?

Some new tweets have been posted today. Things seem to be moving at a fast pace, and gold prices are rising again today.

It definitely is looking good on this small project. A$400 x 20,000 ounces a year.... You make the maths. We expect them to spend some of this to re work the shafts etc... plus other stuff, but still should make a tidy profit.

The best part of today's announcement is the fact that DR is putting a hefty sum of this own money once again. This keeps me having faith in this company. Shame I don't have any more funds to add on top of the few million shares i hold.

I think we should start to see a gradual rise in price soon. GLA

Well there we have it, some clarity on the cash position! Looking good for a move up imho.

Great news today here I think, yet not much of a response in terms of trades. Funding sorted now, DR again putting his money where his mouth is and production to start next quarter, expected margin of around A$400/oz.

Well that was a pretty uninspiring market reaction to a very positive update.

Clearly the name change has not caused people to forget all the missed deadlines of the past. To be fair to Dave those missed deadlines have been outside his control and there should be far fewer aspects outside his control with the Aussie project.

I see this project as more of a play on the weakness of the AUD vs USD, at the moment things are definitely heading in our direction:

With 1.45 AUD to the USD. All the promised cash flow would disappear if it headed back down below 1.2.

The other issue is, whilst the project may be on time and on budget, Dave makes no mention of whether the funding exists to meet that budget. We have had no update on the cash position and it is likely to be quite dire. Even a relatively small fund raise at current share price with this lack of market interest could be quite painful.

I know Dave will do everything he possibly can to avoid a mega dilutive equity raise, but he may have no choice, unless he can find someone to take the Gabon assets for cash - would be at a significant loss to what has been pumped in to get them that far, but there is no point clinging onto assets that you are not going to do anything with.

With Manganese prices down and no forecast increase for 2016, indeed it could well go lower as steel production in China slows and the steep drop in the price of Manganese in the last few months of 2015 are anything to go by, Dave is right to put all his efforts into getting the Aussie gold up and running:

Dave does seem to have developed a bit of a knack for just getting everything lined up in time for the price to crash! Let's hope we do not see further weakening of the gold price with a resurgence of the AUD just in time for production to start in Q2.

I am keeping the faith for now, but I am not tempted to add further to my position until I have some clarity on the cash position.

Thanks geoffsh...like you I am quite hopeful that with two mines in production at some point next year the rewards should follow. Look at VAST for example, they have two operating mines (which are smaller than KRS) but a MCAP of £16m against £5m here. If DR manages to bring these low cost mines into production then we should hopefully get a similar valuation.

A fair valuation imho for KRS would mean a share price for KRS of some 2p+

Clocktower,

If its just the £300k working capital required to develop these Ozzie gold targets then I say bring it on. £300k is a small price to pay to target 20-30k Oz pa of gold in the next 6 months. Who knows maybe in the mean time they'll get that elusive mining licence for Nayega and its $bn of Mn.

Regards,
Ed.

Managing Director, Dave Reeves said, "I am pleased to report that the low cost activities required ahead of delivering production and cash flow from our Australian Gold Project during Q2 2016 are continuing at pace, on time and importantly on budget. Production will initially commence from two laterite pits that contain significant gold mineralisation and require no pre-stripping simplifying the start of production. The internal feasibility work on re-accessing the ultra-high grade Prince of Wales Mine is also progressing well and I look forward to updating shareholders on the Project as it progresses as it will form the backbone of future production within the tribute area."

Finally, Keras Resources (LON:KRS), formerly known as Ferrex is on track to start production from its new gold venture in Australia in the second quarter.

Modelling by Keras has indicated resources of 164,000t of ore in the pits at an average grade of 1.4g/t or 7,200oz of gold.

You’ll be pleased to know that there is pre-strip no required. Always good to hear.

That’s all from me. Have a good evening.

Not a bad start for 2016. Let's hope that this was the year we all have been waiting for 😀

I guess what he means is that it started on a downer and may manage not to fall further. But Dan thinks it will as its the same tune all they have done is to change the instrument.

Gold is down in the US but rising in most other places. Could this be the start of the next bull market in precious metals and mining stocks? Meanwhile, the shape of next year's monetary policy is becoming more clear, and it's unlike anything seen since, well, biblical times. You'll be amazed and probably shocked.

Good start to the New Year for the gold price.

Cannot believe a whole year has gone by and still no Togo mining permit. Togo minister of mines cannot want new economic growth ??

Lololololo Dan can because if you remember Dan said at the time it was all jam tomorrow pie in the sky, but then most of you knew better .......which in fact equates to knew FA.

Anyway let's hope you suckers have a great New Year and at least try to learn something.

Remember Dan never posts rubbish only well researched stuff. That said Dan's pick for 2016 is ALO but please ignore that, in fact please don't even consider it a buy as heavens forbid I may get accused of ramping or of trying to take Tom's job!

thanks novicetrade, I'm looking into the company with a view to a position.
A double over a year or so when and if assuming, the mines open.

Beware many were also looking for MUCH more than a double before FRX was embarrassed into a name change to KRS.
