              KENMARE RESOURCES PLC ("Kenmare" or "the Company")              

Kenmare has completed a placing of 5,197,120 Ordinary Shares at Stg12.5p per
share.  Of this amount, the directors of the Company have subscribed for
800,000 shares.  For each Ordinary Share issued, the Company will also issue a
Warrant to allow the holder subscribe for an Ordinary Share at Stg13.5p.  The
funds raised from this placing amount to Stg#649,640 and will be used to
finance ongoing operations.
