I can only assume it's the debt that puts investors off KMR. Its operations and financial performance are in excellent shape. Maybe it's the nature of its mineral sands asset? (grade, quality and duration to exhaustion?)

Ilmenite and Zircon prices are buoyant as well

Breached 260p support reached in June, next support circa 240p.

Potentially, some of the good news re ilmenite price increases could be in the share price already, hence the lackluster performance following the Q1 update.

Agree KMR appears undervalued, however if the share price slips to perhaps the 270p level (seen in early March)that could be a major buying opportunity IMHO.

The market generally is nervous & many miners have been taking some pain - even though China data strong. But given geopolitical uncertainties one can understand the risk off mindset.

Having said that, the ilmenite/TiO2 market does seem very strong - see daily price update on Ferroalloynet & the quarterly update from Iluka. Also Base Resources has been doing very well on ASX.

KMR's next financial update should make good reading - albeit that I assume quite a lot of the recent ilmenite price surge will not be seen until H2 because of sales contracts for H1 already having had prices fixed. The "problem" is that those figures will not be released until August.

Given that timeline and KMR's history it could well be that not much will happen to the share price over the next three months. Or alternatively news from other companies/ the TiO2 market may produce some positive movement. Meanwhile I believe that KMR (& BSE) are very much undervalued.

I see that I held this in 2007! Anyway, it was tipped last week (BUY) in IC, for what it's worth. I haven't had the time to examine that in any detail yet.

I assume from the huge share price that there was a share consolidation at some point ... 100:1 maybe?

NYB, I wouldn't get too excited, I've been here for years and they've let us down time and time again. Yes there does seem to be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.....but it wouldn't be the first time!

Bought my first lot at 220p and topped up today. The price of Ti rich ilmenite is increading, because of demand from pigment manufacturers. This will make a big difference to their profit
