14/8/2021 17:53 | This does not look good ;0( | pennstreet
14/8/2021 15:35 | Let’s hope this does not impact kefi. hxxps://addisfortune | spartikas

14/8/2021 10:01 | Complicated situation. As Belfast says the fighting is along way from TK. One would hope for a political settlement. Hard to figure out what that would be, Tigrayians say they are not looking to go for the country, Are they fighting to get the Ethiopian army out of the region or really going for full country level independence - So Tigray as a country? Really? Maybe need for local power in a federal structure. Anyone notice the French have withdrawn military cooperation with Ethiopia in July. That's the headline. But it was like 100m Euros and the cooperation was to help Ethiopian build/develop a Navy. Thanks Macron, 100m Euros towards buying French vessels but realistically will buy what exactly? Gunboats or converted Coastguard vessels. Whilst Ethiopia is a landlocked country one assumes a Navy is to protect commercial vessels in the unstable waters around horn of Africa. So whilst Macron scores a political point, hopefully he ensures French navy help protect commercial vessels so produce and commerce continue to flow for Ethiopian flagged vessel. | sweetwaters
14/8/2021 09:21 | Except there is no reported fighting in Oromiya and the PM hails from there and won a landslide victory in a recent election...other than that...great report from the less than renowned BBC ex reporter | belfastboyo
14/8/2021 08:37 | From the former BBC Africa Editor: | cracker10
13/8/2021 15:47 | Well the original article wasn't terribly accurate on several fronts/facts although the general tenor was positive..but in reality there will likely be no RNS until all parties have legally signed binding documents on TKGM closure...like all LTIs especially I believe it will happen and hopefully sooner than later...2p values Kefi at £42m so are rating to 4p to 6p is clearly very possible on any big news after which a Hawiah update would be great | belfastboyo
13/8/2021 15:41 | And yet people are selling out! | pennstreet
13/8/2021 15:33 | I think Hawiah has already passed outstanding with three drill 24/7 - and that's after they doubled the initial resource estimate!! | shortarm
13/8/2021 15:29 | If they pull it off next week with both a TK funding news and a massive update to Hawiah resource then that taxi is going to arrive as a GMC stretched limo. It will be thirsty for fuel but plenty of people queuing up to help with topping it up. | sweetwaters
13/8/2021 15:27 | More realistic I think, 4p max on financing and then 5-6p on Hawiah unless it's an outstanding result. | donegal1997
13/8/2021 15:23 | So, RNS next week and somewhere between 4 and 7 pence to start with.....Then a Hawiah update (and it is effing massive!!!) | shortarm
13/8/2021 15:16 | Once the RNS lands incomes the volume and then then the herd when its top of the risers board they are like lemmings spouting 10p 20p its gonna boom in reality end up around the 6-7p which im more than happy for it to be | mick1909
13/8/2021 15:08 | Fault?? You deserve a pat on the back mate! | pennstreet
13/8/2021 15:05 | This might be my fault lol. I actually mentioned to the journalist about there being demand in the U.K. for mining related articles in Ethiopia. She might have taken it too literally and said to editor and is now reposting a few times. | donegal1997
13/8/2021 14:59 | Roll on next week | pennstreet
13/8/2021 14:57 | Has the ring of truth quotes multiple sources the main one seems to be the mining ministry. Some spin that kefi has been rescued but the manoeuvring to take credit for the project getting off the ground suggests obviously that it will get off the ground. Ethiopian press has a bit more freedom than harry in this case who cannot really say much till everything is done. Paper would have got the nod to publish Ethiopians would be happy with a broadly accurate good news story, they certainly would not gain anything but embarrassment if it was fake. | robjm66
13/8/2021 14:56 | Until its RNS its just hear say and the volume reflects this | mick1909
13/8/2021 14:49 | Because it isn't. Harry has finally delivered - he just can't be bothered to tell us! | pennstreet |
