09/2/2021 11:10 | Stock markets will crash and when they do it will stagnate for around 10 years in the mean time pgm's will continue their bull run and the cycle will switch | mick1909
09/2/2021 10:58 | Tesla is a fraud Elon musk is a fraud they owe hundreds of millions and don't make any profit or should I say cash | christopher logsdon
09/2/2021 09:59 | I see both Tesla and Bitcoin as highly speculative and highly overpriced relative to any logical (NPV/DCF) value...this whole period reminds me of the 2000 bubble...crazy valuations, stocks valued at 100s times sales (not earnings), over leveraged and exposed...this bubble will meet its pin soon I think...Gold/PGMs no counterparts risk and gods money over mellenia...will stand strong when it blows uo | belfastboyo
08/2/2021 19:11 | I think china are almost there in terms of paperless currency and put it down to corovirus | mick1909
08/2/2021 18:49 | Elon Musk apparently is investing in gold Tesla announcement is great news for gold investors as well. The electric-car maker said that it updated its investment policy to allow not only investment in digital assets, but also in gold bullion and gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The new policy now includes investment in "alternative reserve assets including digital assets, gold bullion, gold exchange-traded funds, and other assets," the filing revealed. Both bitcoin and gold saw a jump higher after the news broke Monday morning. | 1deedee
08/2/2021 18:24 | That's it really Rob. If they can control it, they will use it. Taxes, what you buy and do will be so much more useful for 'the powers that be'. I hate the very idea, and that is probably why, like any other currency before it, it will come to pass and we will just have to accept it. Your pay, if you want it, is in your digital account. What, you don't have an account, fine, no pay... Coming to a country near you soon. Or somesuch. IMHO. Topicel | topicel
08/2/2021 18:09 | It’s easy for posters across these boards to speculate on the future of Bitcoin, but 99.9 % of the population don’t invest in penny share gold miners, they are not going to be getting paid in Bitcoin, their wage at the mercy of digital speculators, anytime soon. And unless you can start wearing it around your neck, or on your fingers, or it can be put to use in electronic circuitry, it’s not going to replace gold and silver. Those that want to get rich quick or who need an extra worry in their lives will probably find a use for it in the short term. | rich1e
08/2/2021 17:49 | Daily buys outstripping sells again, at some point this will step up again. | scars
08/2/2021 17:48 | markb125, which do I trust? Earth, bricks and mortar... Everyone needs somewhere to live and food to eat! | scars
08/2/2021 17:31 | If digital currencies get too popular governments will subvert and take over the whole thing. They can make holding non approved digital currencies illegal then force people to swap them for their own digital or non digital currencies at a rate set by them. Despotic countries hate the idea of people having control of their own money and even democratic ones want to keep an eye on what people have so they can tax it. Maybe we could have a gold backed currency call it the “gold coin”. | robjm66
08/2/2021 17:17 | Well the simple truth is Governments print paper money Silicon Valley invent Bitcoin currency ? Gold is scarce and been a currency for all off recorded history ? Which do you trust ? Mx | markb125
08/2/2021 17:08 | I heard the bitcoin part, not so sure about gold. As sure as eggs are eggs we will wake up one morning and find out digital currency is replacing notes/cash and the likes of Bitcoin will be at the vanguard. Where that leaves traditional gold, I don't know, but it has always been supressed by Governnments and Central Banks so I'd imagine that will continue if they side with digital. And then along comes the solar flare or cyber attacks... Topicel | topicel
08/2/2021 17:04 | Let's try again, he's got to make a profit somehow | christopher logsdon
08/2/2021 17:04 | Bitcoin...guess he wanted to invest in something that was automated periodically caught on fire then broke down. | robjm66
08/2/2021 17:03 | Well he's got a make a profit somehow ? | christopher logsdon
08/2/2021 16:53 | Did I just hear that correctly on the news that Elon musk just put a lot of money from Tesla into bitcoin and gold bullion.? | 1deedee
08/2/2021 16:42 | Rio - I agree with you an easy 20 bagger in a few years, but not many will see that kind of return. I speak from experience as a eua holder where most of my fellow investors from the 0.4/0.5p days have either sold out or seriously topsliced, including me. Not because I don't believe in the story but because your dreams become possible with large amounts of money and they become almost impossible to resist. It's not wrong to take a profit I have learned. | charles clore
08/2/2021 16:22 | JLW, To be honest, I would not have recommended to you myself unless I was supremely confident of the eventual outcome. I have been invested here for years, It has taken much longer than I hoped initially, but I doubt it will be long now before we all get well rewarded. | scrappycat
08/2/2021 16:12 | Thanks Aviator...I must admit I learned a lot about what NOT to do in regard to investing from Kefi and will not forget the lessons learned...but by being brave (or foolish) I averaged down to break even atm...so huge upside foe me (life changing) assuming it goes well...fingers crossed Harry/BOD finally hit a deadline...tortoise and hare and all that | belfastboyo
08/2/2021 15:32 | POG on a bit of a come back today and copper doing better as well. Has to be good for the next leg up soon. 2.0 - 2.2 seems to be a bit of a sticking point. Get passed that then should be back to 2.4-2.6 easily. | scars
08/2/2021 15:24 | Twas I who suggested you consider averaging down. I hope you are not disappointed, having followed that advice. I am lucky, in that, at 79, I do not need the money. I invest for, hopefully, the greater benefit of my children/grandchildr | scrappycat |
