My name is Robert and I am a kefiaholic. Only held kefi for nine ten years so still a newbie. Got into kefi for the potential of Saudi so guess I was not crazy just a bit off with my timing.

Had a trip down memory lane and looked at some of the past posts what strikes me is the loyalty of the shareholders and how really it us that have kept the company alive against the odds.

Think harry and kefi owes all holders (now it looks like the company is turning the corner) a drink maybe it could be combined with the eat out to help out scheme, out maybe drink out to get laid out ;)

I too have been a Kefi shareholder for many years and recall Honest Crust as being a holder of a lot of shares and remember the moment when Topicel missed out on the magical 1.3p to sell his shares when stuck up a tree in his garden if my memory is correct. At that time Topicel mentioned his shareholding which was the same as mine.

Like many here I have followed Kefi’s ups and downs (mostly downs) and have bought in to many of the false dawns. I have always seen the potential here like many other LTHs and have averaged down over the years now owning 5 million shares at an average of approx 2.8p.
Hopefully things will continue to move in the right direction but I will be mighty relieved when (if) the funding is confirmed and the market then starts to really believe in this company.

2.21 - 2.38 spread is the LSE sets trade spread which are for automatic trades which normally account for around 10% of kefi trading. most of the trades are "off book" ie dealt by hargreaves lands, ii, spreadex and other nominee brokers. kefi's shareholder base chock full of nominee brokers holding for investors

the actual spread which trades are being dealt at today is probably around 2.23 - 2.30 for 100,000 shares. volumes very low and needs the big block traders to push it to new highs...might need news for that ..

Gold and copper both looking better today.

A small update on where we are with the TK funding would have been welcome today..surely we at least know which of the various options we are going with by now?

I've been around since Jeff Rayner was in charge and Kefi were still in Turkey.
I bought when they started in Saudi(King Solomon's mine by Wendy D).
I've led a very sad and penniless life.
Hairyback was around with Honest Crust.
Whatever happened to helpermonkey?

I hope it is Bosbus.

As for suffering fools, they've tolerated moi for most of the decade so don't be ashamed about lack of knowledge - fervour and passion is just as welcome!

A nice trip down memory lane from Rossendale with just a twang of fond memories of a portfolio that cracked £250k around 09/10 and, unlike Plimer, I didn't sell up.

If we can move the decimal point one place to the left on Goatie's 167.45 I reckon most would accept the pain has been worth it.

Why do I have a Chris Tarrant voice whispering in my ear "but I don't want to give you that..."?

I've stuck it out for nearly ten years and frequently been down by more than 70%. Have only discovered these message boards recently. I've resisted posting because everyone appears so knowledgeable and do not suffer fools gladly. I'm feeling very positive about where we're going and very lucky that by averaging down and selling a chunk on the occasional spike I have 750,000 at 1.528p. Bearing in mind I've never earned more than £25k ( Cornwall jobbing builder) this could be a life changer for me.

Goaties post inspired me to look back at former threads. Lots of informative posts around Oct 10 on the 'Kefi minerals' thread onward from no 500-600 and from the beginning of the 'Into the kingdom' thread. Might give some new holders an insight as to the potential of Saudi Arabia and why some of us have stuck it out for ten years or so.
TTT was the first of the current posters to appear, followed by estseon and this first post from our 'spiritual leader' (if I can call him that!)

well i can only declare a miserly 400k at 2.625 after a gentleman tipped me yesterday.
couldnt get any more in volume.
sit tight and watch the fun. HB '

A first post by JLW appeared, but some of the regular posters of the time seem to have fallen by the wayside or like myself just read and enjoy the info and the banter.
Names that were remembered include bikersteve, honest crust, JREwing, roughandtumbleone. Bit like looking at an old school photo.

I'm hanging on here and probably need about 4p to break even with all the averaging
down. Hopefully goatie will be able to leave his family a pile, JLW will have super SIPP and topicel will at last be content.

Happy anniversary to all who have stuck it out for 10 years!

goatherd, i will be happy with the "old" high, which I think was the famous Plimer 10p wasn't it?
bit younger than you, but still need to see some money within the next year or two! my breakeven is 7p, 3p over that would be fabulous

davidspringbank,

I do hope we see the highs; however I have doubts as to whether we ever will (at least in my lifetime - but then I am 85).

The previous high (allowing for the 17:1 split) was about 167.45 on 12/1/2011.

EUA turned around the value of my holdings substantially and I wish them well. I think Kefi has a lot going for it. It seems to be in the right place at the right time so I'm on board for the ride back to the highs and beyond. All the best, mate.

Updated my spreadsheet and now only £16k down! I did average down or it would be a lot worse so roll on 5.056p for breakeven.

The best news we have had this year is undoubtedly KEFIs increased ownership of Tulu Kapi mine from 45% to 60%. And that this no longer needs to be funded with ANS equity. The market cap of £40m largely ignores the quickly advancing Saudi assets, which will surely dwarf Tulu Kapi. As far as I can see this has increased my mine ownership by 33%

You are in at a very good price. A darn sight better than most of the LTIs who choose to remain for the big upside
