19/3/2024 01:04 | Better to invest in a metal detector, stake a few claims in the Pilbarra, take Katie to man the sleuce, a few tinnies in the wagon..You'll probably dig up about the same as Kefi ever will but you'll have a lot of fun ;) | theaviator
19/3/2024 00:56 | Still not too late for folk to wake up and get into crypto on this pullback. I am not allowed to suggest cryptos but can certainly tell you the bluechip ones I own.BitcoinEthereumC | theaviator

18/3/2024 23:37 | More than $40m was withdrawn after the bank took several hours to freeze transactions. A student who attends Jimma University said he "did not believe it was true" when his friends told him that it was possible to withdraw large amounts from ATMs or transfer money using the bank's app. Universities have asked their students to return any cash not belonging to them but it's unclear how successful these attempts have been so far. The student from Jimma University said he didn't know of anyone who had given it back. Bank president Mr Sano said the loss incurred was small compared to the bank's assets. Could have had the first drawdown on the project financing if Harry had acted quicker! | dead duck resources
18/3/2024 21:13 | Ethiopia is still on the old Gregorian calendar and they also have 13 months in the year - as their tourism slogan goes "13 months of sunshine." And also officially the day changes at 6.00am, when the sun rises and not mid-night. | loganair
18/3/2024 20:50 | Ethiopian March is still some weeks away... Plus 2024 does not arrive in Africa for a good few years yet. Btw, surely Kefi filled their boots during the CBE money give away. | outlawinvestor
17/3/2024 11:24 | 28.32 to 32.00 highlight but all good. | robjm66
17/3/2024 11:24 | Topical actually think Harry has not been positive enough over the gold price, with 2000 gold price the worst case looking like a floor support level now but more likely gold just keeps going up and up. Obviously a project that can make a multiple of the profits it would have done four or five years ago has a better chance now. Think he did lose some objectivity over the relative importance of Ethiopia compared to Saudi and kind of fell in love with Ethiopia and its people. However the Ethiopians will know they have someone in Harry that is determined to get TK going and make Ethiopian mining a success in general. 28.32 32.00 highlight but all good. | robjm66
17/3/2024 08:59 | How much, in true value, has Harry squandered of the 15% of our original share in G&M? The guy is a walking, sorry waddling, catastrophe for all Kefi investors. Millions in and millions out to goodness knows who and where with paper provisional agreements to show for it all. Yeah, I know, it's the second bank. Wait until someone recalculates all the costs to the projects on today's prices...we need to renegotiate. Nothing has been agreed, so everything has to be agreed blah, blah, blah as Ms Thunberg would say/ | topicel
17/3/2024 08:55 | Rob, there was a higher gold price! When is it high enough? Harry made much two years ago or more, as you say, about it being most propitious (I think he actually used that word) that gold was on the rise to new levels just as TK was finalising. Always finalising mate. Which is why I said late last year the chances of JQ happening are remote in the near term too. He has no idea how to do business, as was seen at EMED. Now make himself wealthy on the work and support of others, yep a past master. Whatever you say Harry will have come out with it before - except we have signed the final agreement to fund anything! They got rid of him in Spain and, hey presto, job done... | topicel
16/3/2024 12:18 | Maybe marriage counselling Topical when neither person can afford the divorce. As for the kefi more annoyed in some ways by missed opportunities in Saudi than Ethiopia as the ones missed in Suadi were in the companies hands. Now the companies mentioning talking to "regional investors" and listing in Saudi but should have been all over those things two years ago after the Amak listing. It may be easier now with a higher gold price and a shift in Saudi investment into mining in other countries but the company should have anticipated those developments. | robjm66
16/3/2024 09:11 | Should have had a pre-nup Rob! It is more likely we have a third umbrella agreement as the other two were so effective in covering over the cracks in finalising the financing package as well as keeping the June-September rains off. You obviously use one as it is all water off a duck's back to you. Goatie should try it, it is only banter, not Hester. We don't know each other from Adam, in the main, do we? I know, who's Adam?! Not Topicel ;) | topicel
16/3/2024 09:06 | I still have no idea what you are on about Goatie. As I told you before I do not notice my PMs, as I spend little time on the threads here these days as all the money we have invested has been lost. Some little might be regained, but even you must despair as weeks turn into months and months into years (I missed out the quarters, they're a given). There is only Harry who has 'won' here. I accept the investment has been a poor one and we've been led a merry dance from the days of being called nellies etc. I accept you seem to have a very different view of the way things have panned out and so on, even if to most here it has proven wrong time an time again, you keep banging on about it. If I was rude, I apologise. But how many more confetti shots can you tolerate in this agony. If Kefi was a horse it would have been shot long ago, never mind keeping its lights on. It would have been kinder to all of us and we could learn the lessons and repeat them or not elsewhere as we choose. Mr. Hester said he was rude. I said nothing like his crass and scary comments, nor would I. So whatever you think was rude is beyond me in that range of upset. I repeat, it is not a good way to communicate via a message system that I have no inkling about. You should understand that being as inept at techie things as me, judging by your often triple posts ;) Or is that being 'rude'? Some might say it is worse to mention all the share price expectations that you have over the years with no remorse. Whether you realise it or not, that is influential to some, and not in a good way when backed up by Harry's garbage. Like the Tory party and its 'wide church', all views are welcome and said with feeling. A message board for freedom of speech. But of course you would delete that observation for touching on politics. There is room for all you know. Tell me what was rude seeing as I don't know and you do recall. It does seem you have done a lot of 'assuming' that you are preaching against too in all of this... You are 'knocked' for your blatantly and consistently wrong opinions about Kefi, nothing else. There may come a day you are right, but getting to 22.1p as you once reckoned was a 'certainty' is so far off neither of is likely to see it mon ami. I have no beef with you and never have, but as surely you have noticed on so many threads and posters, you do offer a big target with your style and remarks on your various investments. It ain't just moi...and I've said many times before I'm sorry if you're offended btw, but on Kefi I've always been, sadly, 100% right as you well know as we languish at 0.5p with seven (?) billion shares in issue. Speaking of which, were you not rude the other day to say I was wrong about Kefi being one of the highest issuers of shares on AIM, when it was immediately shown to be the case that we were in the top 3%? Take it or leave it, as I did. It is a message board. You are often rude about the length of my posts and style. Easy, block reading them. I took it personally and to heart but accept that there may be some (a lot?!) of truth in it. All I know is (if you have invested all along here as you say) we are both thousands of pounds worse off for having even become aware of one another - and only Kefi and its disciples and sycophants have been the cause of that malaise. xxx (as Rob recommended) Topicel (which, you might remember, you once chastised me for always ending my messages with - rude?) | topicel
15/3/2024 10:04 | So no PDA then. | robjm66
15/3/2024 09:34 | Thanks Rob. I understand now! It does seem a bit irrelevant though. Kiss and make up? Tops would have to make the first approach. And stop knocking me at every (imagined) opportunity. I doubt it is even possible. Still more that it will ever happen. | goatherd
15/3/2024 08:44 | "To slide into the DMs is online slang for sending someone a direct message on social media slickly and coolly, often for romantic purpose" Maybe DDRs suggesting you should kiss and make up. | robjm66
15/3/2024 08:01 | (Ethiopia mining/Tigray) | robjm66
15/3/2024 07:33 | No. It was a private message. And how, please, does one "slide into someone's DMs". Not a phrase I understand. "Assuming" is a rather rash thing to do; as I was brought up, anyway. I certainly do not want to breach etiquette, but I have to know what it is first. | goatherd
15/3/2024 07:17 | Mid-March and still no confirmation on even credit approval? I thought the resident experts in geopolitics / mining / corporate finance had assured everyone that the second bank was simply a rubber stamp? Perhaps they've mislaid it. The level of risk here is simply unbelievable. Might as well head to the Hippodrome, your odds on a return are far better IMO. | jaylett
14/3/2024 23:34 | Actually sliding into someone's DMs is bad etiquette. An intended polite warning could come across like a threat and merit a rude reply. Post your warning here and let us be the judge. If not we'll assume it was a bait tactic to provoke a response and then ban. | dead duck resources |
