How do you time anything with Kefi though when it is always just a few weeks/months away. They use FOMO as a way of keeping this going as as been the case now for years.

This could get deep but I'd best shut up as am going to get it in neck from others. Lol You are right and wise in many ways and I do get you but also timing markets using history isn't a bad thing imho. Pm me Sir any time. I enjoy conversing with you. Lol I was going to be polite even if you were an IFA lol - don't start me though.. :)

True, you can benefit from cash in reserve, Buffets Berkshire fund has a sizeable cash position. I keep cash in reserve too as I said earlier.

I mean, I could DCA average bitcoin now but why when I know 20k a coming and am super confident about it? I still hold some bitcoins from 250 dollars and always will and they won't be sold. Just like buying silver from 11 dollars as it cost more to mine. Bought oil futures and took delivery as stated back in the negative. Why was I able to? Because cash sitting. You hear me?? Wait wait wait. IFA rhetoric (I've friends who are so not knocking you guys) is v different as this how the regular "banking system" train. It's all changing.....Zulu principals...in part....

Lol, no I'm an investor who's spent too long learning the hard way. But as such, as a buyer, if markets crash tomorrow, then that suits me. If they rise for another 5 years, that suits me also. Removing fear and greed from your decision making is the biggest battle

Worry about charges, diversification, and to some degree your returns, but don't worry about stock market direction, because it's something that you have no control over

Interesting aviator, to my reckoning someone investing a modest £200 a month from age 25 to 65, 40 years compounding at 10% would have £1.1 million at the end of it

Apologies to all for slightly off topics. Am going on a BB hol now for a bit. Best of luck to all and fingers crossed we all get some reward here on Kefi. Thanks again for the tolerance.

I only buy crashes Richie and as you see do better than 9% lol Over 100% from 2020. 9% are what bank IFAs are paid to push but they take 3% back from you lol. Nobody will ever get exact tops and bottoms BUT even by trading Shiller from 17 to 39 you would do so much better if that makes any sense. I'm no advocate of taking ALL out.. make sense? Hence 70%. Mick, as I said, one year 70% cash. That's ok. Yes I missed some but so what... It could do more for sure yes. It's a manipulated market never seen before to this extent but one thing is for sure that it's a recipe for disaster of catastrophic proportion. One of my v close friends a Goldman guy. They been short on some indys for months..Michael Burry already short. Am no oracle but love it as you know and take the safety approach as much as I possibly can.

Aviator, you cash in and get it wrong, the market continues to rise, it might be 5% that you miss out on. So over a 5 year period 10% per annum becomes 9%. It's just an unnecessary complication and layer of risk, leading you to spend your time wanting markets to crash. Benefit from the full rises and when the time comes, benefit from the falls. At the moment fundamentals have gone out of the window, savers in the US buy etfs or trackers rather than put cash in the bank. The more that they buy the higher it goes, the more they buy. With my strategy, I'm not really bothered what they do

Do you think the shiller will run a bit higher it reached 44 for the dot com bubble with everything at all highs its only a fair assumption that high will get taken out too?

Yes I'm not in disagreement to that at all Richie. DCA as they say BUT when shiller at 39 that's a screamer imo to cash in! (Not aim punts for me - that's different/risk reward and a bit of fun) Funds generally can't do that but good ones have hedge facilities. They are saying this could be the worst one yet and I should imagine will also take many crypto fanatics by surprise who think they have found a 'hedge'. Am on the sidelines re gold now. Maybe a quick run up then a correction. Will certainly be interesting to see.
