08/7/2021 14:36 | This share is like a long distance affair with someone I haven't met yet, they need money for one reason or another and I keep sending it. :-) | fingertrouble
08/7/2021 13:53 | “ Final results released by NEBE showed Abiy’s Prosperity Party won 49 of 53 constituencies in Oromia, Sidama, Amhara and the Southern regional states. It also took 50 provisional tallies for the Oromia region, the country’s largest.” Elections seem to be a bit of a foregone, there are some disputes but don’t think they will come to much. Final results tomorrow. | scars
08/7/2021 13:40 | If you buy and the stock drops 50% you lose out, if you sell and the stock rises 50% you lose out. Mm's are middle men, on both sides of the trade and so, how they are positioned when news lands, determines their fortune's. As such it's in their interest to keep things quiet. | rich1e
08/7/2021 13:26 | I'm not saying it's a leaky share but we do need higher volume to indicate of any progress I think. | donegal1997
08/7/2021 13:24 | Gold price looking strong today. It is hard to stay patient atm. There's a lot happening in Ethiopia. If and it's a big if, Harry is as close as he says he is to the EG, then surely it won't be long before we hear something. | donegal1997

07/7/2021 19:43 | I would think the banks are waiting for the election result to become clear before they sign off the deal. Once the election results are announced things should happen very quickly Fingers crossed | jon9911
07/7/2021 17:46 | On another note, I tried a few buys and sells today, I was quoted a price to sell a quantity, a lot larger than they’d quote me to buy. I wanted to buy more and couldn’t, then tried the sell out of curiosity. The buy quantity reduced as the day passed. Might be nothing in it, but anyone can try it for themselves, I'll tell it as I find it. Have a good evening all | rich1e
07/7/2021 17:36 | Broker targets – I’m sure that there are many examples, but I remember a few years back Kaz minerals, a larger company, easier to value you’d think. Fell to sub £1 from over £10 along with the wider market, broker targets were then issued at maybe £1.40 for a company previously valued at ten times that? As the share price went up the broker targets were revised up as they were passed. And it went to over a tenner again. Targets are alright for guidance. Another point at sub £1 there were a few 'doubters', a lot more convincing than some of the ones on the Kefi boards, and they didn’t stop it going back above a tenner either. | rich1e
07/7/2021 15:40 | Edison research valuing at 8.6p now !! | pennstreet
07/7/2021 11:57 | Hopefully funding comes before the hawiah update. I recall the market just brushing it off the last time when we had good drilling results in Hawiah. It will have more of an effect on the share price if it comes after the financing IMO. | donegal1997
07/7/2021 10:02 | Given the recent developments in the Civil War in the north of the country, it is extremely difficult to assess what priorities the EG attach to other aspects of their economy. The only thing we know , is that those mining companies that have made little effort to progress their claims, have been threatened with getting the bum's rush. The recent cease fire might offer them (the EG) some respite, but who knows what they will choose to do? | scrappycat
07/7/2021 09:22 | People are worried that the Ethiopians might do something totally illogical but date given was the thirtieth of last month so less and a diminishing chance of that happening. Once we get any positive public feedback from the Ethiopians worries over the issue should evaporate totally. | robjm66
07/7/2021 08:59 | I dont see how logically the licence could be pulled if the hold ups were only the central bank and the mining department.... | jlwilliams
07/7/2021 07:06 | I agree with you SportsBoy, I expect the former. Have a good day all | rich1e
06/7/2021 20:49 | Thanks Belfastboy - interesting thread. You would expect by the stage of submission to the Authorities for approval that they have been working with them and there are no surprises so the approvals flow as anticipated. To me one of the big questions is whether all documentation with the lenders is pretty fully agreed at the time of submission - in which case 3 should be quite quick OR whether there is still lots to agree - in which case there is a danger they take another 6 months and get their licences revoked. I would expect the former(and the tone of the last RNS's would suggest that) but have little trust in any of their releases. I am guessing most of the times they have issued statements with timings they have known there was a very low chance of hitting them - but were relying that they could at least demonstrate progress by the next one. If anyone can cast any light on that would be interested to hear. | sportboyslima
06/7/2021 19:17 | Hi Donegal, yes but the election is only for partial results i'm afraid...it looks like in Oromia (where Kefi is) the PM's party is likely to win 90% of all seats 50 or 60 i believe(he is from Oromia) but the total seats needed to win power fully is 274 i believe & many of the seats will not run the election & counting till Sept.... on the Damn...yes it is a very contentious issue with Sudan and Egypt but common sense usually prevails on such things...if they agree to share. So as I see it the only near term catalysts for Kefi share price remains; 1. RNS on Sign off of the consortium finance deal by the ENB (or national bank of Ethiopia). BIG news if and when that happens? 2. Approval by Mining Authority of the same and approval of all exploration licenses etc. As above. 3. Approval of the binding legal documentation by all consortium parties and financial closure by all (obviously this would likely be a game changer for Kefi) 4. Receipt of first equity subscriptions (but won't happen until 1-3 are done). 5. Hawaih update Until we get 1, 2 & 3 (although they may all come very close together, who knows) & 4 & 5 could come soon after (we hope) then Kefi could be said to be one of the most under rated opportunities on AIM to multi bag your investment.... The various brokers notes on it's website show what these research analysts believe it could be worth today and in the near future....and just because they may, or may not, have been paid by Kefi to produce said reports it does not make their conclusions incorrect or wrong....and if anything I think they know that and deliberately downplay the opportunity/potentia | belfastboyo
06/7/2021 18:24 | First results from the election due in on the 9th. Hopefully we hear something soon after that. Government under a lot of pressure on Tigray and from Egypt on some dam they are building on the river Nile. | donegal1997
06/7/2021 14:36 | Hawiah from Edison report Based on published literature, KEFI management believes that the Hawiah deposit is analogous to (albeit already bigger than) the Al Masane polymetallic VMS mine, which was the first mine in Saudi Arabia to export copper and zinc concentrates and has reported resources of 10.0Mt at grades of 1.1% copper, 4.8% zinc, 1.1g/t gold and 36g/t silver, and a similar metal composition and structural and geological settings. Note that the discovery of the stockwork zone that fed the structure now being drilled could also represent a potentially much larger bulk-mineable target analogous to the Jabal Sayid mine operated by Barrick to the north of Hawiah. Seeking to double the maiden mineral resource estimate upon completion of Phase 4 of the drilling campaign (which has already commenced) in H221. ■ Completing necessary baseline studies (eg metallurgical) for the PFS. ■ Extending exploration activities into the surrounding district as licensing warrants (eg the Al Godeyer exploration licence). To these ends, the directors of KEFI’s joint venture company in Saudi Arabia, G&M, have resolved to trigger the next stage of the project, comprising: ■ Deeper, Phase 4 drilling with a target of doubling the maiden resource. ■ Infill drilling to upgrade the existing resources into the indicated category, so as to fully justify mine planning and the estimation of a maiden ore reserve. ■ Scout drilling for a large stockwork, or ‘feeder’ | robjm66
