Great news Topical hope your son gets well soon.

As for here think people (well me at least) are reluctant to mention that kefi is regaining some value as it might hex it.

Good health to you and your family.

Robert

Crikey. Sounds like your lad & the rest of your family have been to hell & back. Really glad that there is some cause for optimism. Thanks for letting us know.

Market makers are acting up 50 buys 1 sell - total buys far outweigh deals in terms of number of shares.... so much for a supply and demand marketplace

There seems to be an ordinate amount of tiny trades e,g. 500 shares is the equivalent of £5. Does anybody have an explanation for this? Could it be small investments from villagers. I can't imagine it could be unless the admin fee for a trade is free

From KEFI website today

"Current impact of COVID-19 on Ethiopia?
Q: How is COVID 19 in Ethiopia at present? Having searched Google it would appear that their cases are relatively low but are the previously described precautions still firmly in place on the ground?

A: In Ethiopia, about 2 million people have been surveyed door-to-door revealing about 40 suspected cases but none proved positive. In all, Ethiopia has had 3 deaths from 133 confirmed cases from 19,000 people tested. All restrictions remain in place.

Q: Given the perceived containment of the virus from the below statistics, are businesses and governments still working or is all attention focused on COVID containment?

A: Social isolation rules are strict and pervasive, not too dissimilar to the UK. The intensity of precautionary measures reflect the recognition of a less developed health and social welfare system. Most of the population really need to work.

After the previous few days performance, I'm assuming that Kefi will go up 10% every day. I can see absolutely nothing wrong with this assumption. ;-)
On that basis, I will break even on 26th May 2020 That's this month!!
I'm going to ask my bank manager about a loan with the forward value of Kefi as collateral. Wish me luck.

I can well imagine why the EG are frustrated by the lack of progress in opening the Gold mine. Fighting the Corona virus is sure to increase the National Debt, and they need the mine open to finance both the treatment, and the recovery. Foreign currency will certainly be required to facilitate this, and they are short of this. Opening the mine asap would help to resolve this in the medium/long term, to obviate any chance of Hyper inflation.

Just my thoughts.

Interesting times especially with the Saudi operation, small but they will want something to put money into and oil is not likely to be going anywhere quickly.

Two things are clear; a placing is not currently being forward sold and sentiment is improving. These are both very good things.

The company must have something in the works for working capital. ANS money perhaps, following their public humiliation by the EG? The situation here would change very quickly indeed if local money is finally paid over.

Don't worry Goatie, we'll be getting some money in soon. Question is, will it be from ANS, GofE or Istitchemup & Co? ;-)

Lots of BLUE trades this morning. It looks like a waterfall of positive flowing into The Kefi coffers. :)

For long term holders, all this is an irrelevance. They have gone through the mill for ages, and are well used to frustration. We sit here patiently, or impatiently as the case may be, awaiting the inevitable day when funding finally appears in the Kefi account

@3482 cybaajak.

You have just described what happened a few months ago...and then the share price dropped when the share price got close to 2p, as if to keep the share price low so that the long termers are stuck in here, so that so called traders, can play with the share price This has not gone unnoticed.

cybaajak,

I state a couple of facts (higher lows/highs - you may argue with my conclusion that it's a 'bona fide reversal' - and flag a newly published article) ...

You extrapolate a conspiracy theory!

I speak as a proud contrarian (which, along with the chart, got me into gold) and a cynic, but you take the biscuit!

Perhaps I just lack imagination...

Kind of falls at the first hurdle that no one is pumping it. On the boards sceptical posts probably outnumber optimistic posts. With Tom W. not news that he is long term supporter.

Probably some buying by people who think the recent falls were overdone especially with the Ethiopian government underwriting things now, the selling into rises by people who want out.
