Welcome to teh Hotel California. |
Nice welcome :-)
Long term lurker. Just recently loaded up on KEFI - sorry to all the LTH's that I'm leaching off, for the sake of us all hopefully I don't become one of you :-D |

SportsBoysLima, where on earth did you pluck that figure from lol
$100/oz for gold in the ground has been the 'rule-of-thumb' for a long time. With gold prices surging, SA being flavour of the month, plus exploration still wide open I imagine that the actual market value will be well above $100/oz.
Being conservative though, 3moz x $100/oz x 15% = $45m. For me that is minimum. Anything less than that and we've been robbed, but with the upside potential and lure of SA, I wouldn't be surprised to see above $70m.
If you ever consider typing "guessing a valuation...." again, I would suggest that instead you go away and do five minutes of research. Don't guess. Make and informed estimation. |
Perhaps by the law of averages the avatar will get a call correct eventually - even if by luck rather than sound judgement? Although it seems unlikely that his run of inglorious failure will end here tbh. |
Demented. Just full on lunacy. |
Whatever, no nearer to gold dig! |
I believe any sale of the Saudi assets under the contract will be priced on valuation, not market perception. This should yield a very much higher return than a market price valuation.
With no significant evidence I rather wonder whether they are trying to renegotiate the Saudi contract, with a higher percentage share. We do know Artar invited them in in the first instance, and clearly needed them. So perhaps Artar still need them and want to keep them. One can but hope. |
These banking reforms are a game changer for our funding banks and the wider sector so i expect that sign off is now alot closer. As for Saudi i predict £25 - £27m for the full sale.Happy days :-)
RNS anytime now on both fronts |
Think this will come good but talk of $40m-$50m for Saudi seems way high at present. The current funding has taken pressure off and made a fire sale unnecessary for now. Its also probably kicked dilution can down road.My guess is a sale most likely to be 6m off if not far longer. Guessing a current value would be $15m-$20m. Any minority stake carries a heavy discount. |
"Member countries, upon acceding to membership, are required to ratify the AFC’s Constitutive Instruments in line with their national laws, essentially domesticating the AFC Treaty into local law by the requirements of the country’s internal protocols"
While it would be nice if AFC membership was confirmed this week its not nailed on but the bill is a step forward as a foreign banks competing with local ones is you would think more controversial than AFC membership being ratified and common banking codes likely to have some overlap with "domesticating the AFC Treaty into local law by the requirements of the country’s internal protocols."
55 i wish well i did say i would start counting backward on my last birthday. |
Not sure that has any bearing on Ethiopian banks and kefi lending? |
Another step forward but not a seismic moment for the share price. |
Not forgetting the 10M that need £2Bn to survive through 2005?
Not forgetting the rift between Amhara and Oromia (west) still fighting, civilians constantly displaced.
10 aid workers killed and others kidnapped (Ankara region).
Happy days eh? |
Brilliant news indeed,it will be on the newswires around 10am in UK if they do their usual press release slot in parliament.
AFC ratification will now be pushed through fast |
BREAKING: Ethiopia’s Parliament has approved a new banking proclamation that paves the way for foreign banks to enter the country’s financial sector. |

robjm66 or is it 55?
I stand corrected, yes Tom discussed the numerous emails he was getting, other than that, no info wrt share price.
The share price was dropping, how could he support?
As usual, you can read the headlines but not the content.
Maybe you can explain why TW ramped it a 6 and now lucky to get 5 or even 4?
Your dosh! |

Last mention of kefi by Tw was 15 Nov, where he mentioned dilution plus rubbishing an
opinion from Edison & Charlie Gibson (he of AFE fame)!
TW rubbished the 5 to 8p claim also, rather odd don't you think?
At the time, the price was 0.6p.
Current price, a fair old drop!
Today: 3M buy v 14M sell.
Big oufit accumulation you claim, yea right.
More bull |
"Its funny that the harshest critics of TW are the ones that hang on his every word." |
