Kefi need to raise funds
Random rampers try to put out a made up ‘rumour’ the president is travelling for many hours to see a mine that isn’t built
Make it make sense |
The real bid price rising even though no published trades showing,we know that normally means there have been some chunky buying from orders going on.We might just burst through that 0.65p sooner than expected IMO |
Looks like telegram write in Burmese. Wonderful country! |
The telegram group is a genuine trade and business forum so that is why i took it serious.Like i say i am not expert on the local language but i saw the presidents name and Tulu Kapi which then made me click through.Does look genuine thus far. |
How is that relevant, it has taken the best part of 20 years to get to this nadir, what would an hour here or there matter? |
Anyone know the time difference of Ethiopia and UK ??? |
Indeed, although unsuspecting avatars should be wary not to get caught up in any obviously coordinated ramp that may or may not be underway, natch. |
Barry, don't be sad buddy. Everything will turn out for the best. |
Cheers sammyg i think i will check the local news websites there and even their govt sites. If this visit is planned they must have something going on surely. |
Avatars may wonder why on earth anyone would be monitoring such a site, if that is all they normally post? |
Thanks Sammy sounds possible as Abiy has visited the akobo site and as it is in amharic it would not be picked up widely outside the country just will have to wait and see.
It would obviously be a big signal of support for the project and kefi if it happens. |
I should add they only normally post stuff that is in the local news there,so it caught my eye. |
There was once an avatar that posted that "an enraged CEO had stormed out of a board meeting in order to telephone him, asking him to post on a free bb (this one) that he refuted certain posts that had been made".
I wont name the avatar, of course. But remember these are the kind of people that walk among us. |
rob,it was on a telegram group for ethiopian business and trade news and has just been posted at 07.48am.Just thought worthy of discussion if we have a visit again by the president. |

Where did this come from ???? what does the translation actually say ?? |
It has been C&P onto a free bb, allegedly taken from a dodgy social media site.
I think avatars should make up their own mind on that, dont you? |
"The President will visit the Tulu Kapi gold mine on Monday, December 2." How accurate is this Sammy is it just a rumour? |
I just seen this on telegram they say been taken from the Presidents Diary schedule, not sure of exact translation but it appears the president is due to visit Tulu Kapi again on monday :-) i wonder what this visit is for ??

"EFFICIENCY OF BUREAUCRACY." mentioned in presentation think that a factor that has been slowing things down. Think it was a bit of mistake talking about twenty years for mining projects most of that internationally especially in the west is down to bureaucracy and any opposition to any mining project they can cut through must of that in Ethiopia with support at the highest level in a way that would simply not be possible in the west.
What was accurate though is you need a lot of explorers slide 13 to get a much smaller number of viable projects so Ethiopia has to open up its mining sector internationally if they are serious about getting a lot of money from mining. |
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced the pre-qualified bidders for five exploration licenses in the country’s first mineralised belts at the Jabal Sayid Medina and Al-Hajar Aseer regions. The qualified bidders are: - Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Company - Consortium of Artar & Gold and Minerals.. …The winning companies will be announced in January 2025.

Been running around today no big surprises here some of the posts on LSE kefi thread are just laughable.
It boils down to this.
ETHIOPIA MINERALS EXPORTS TODAY ARE UNDER US $1BILLION PERANNUM. EVEN IF ETHIOPIA IS ONLY 50% AS PROSPECTIVE PER HECTARE AS WA ,IT CAN TARGETUS $42 BILLION PERANNUM.
Just had the leader of the country visit the site of Akobo and put them front and centre of the Mintex exhibition and they are only a "boutique" mining company from their own admission.
If you are betting on TK not getting over the line you are basically betting on the Ethiopians expletive deleted themselves. |
Yes, that looks really good.
Thank you for posting it. |
