90% a placing enroute imo.. |
Akobo Minerals, a Scandinavian-based gold exploration and mining company with operations in Ethiopia, is pleased to announce the successful production of the first gold bar from its Segele Mine. This significant milestone marks the beginning of gold production as the company moves forward with its operational plans.
To raise money for investment in Ethiopian mining projects….
Pursuant to the Offering, the Company issued 62,000,000 common shares in the capital of the Company (the "Shares") at a price of C$3.10 per Share for aggregate gross proceeds of C$192,200,000..and in respect of costs associated with the Kurmuk construction project. The Offering is part of the Company's previously announced broader financing plan, which includes a gold stream and gold prepay facility on the Kurmuk project, intended to enhance financial flexibility to unlock significant value. Allied expects to provide further updates on its plans to unlock value in due course, and an update on the completion the Kurmuk financing packages no later than the publishing of Q3 2024 results. |
Well, you nay-sayers have your views. I have different views. Odd, really, as I think most of us have the same objective (to make money).
I doubt many of you are short?
It will be interesting to see which view is right. Obviously I think mine will be. |
“Nothing to worry about”? For goodness sake, one of the reasons the share price has remained stagnant despite the suggested imminent TK funding completion is because of the “confetti̶1; amount of shares already in issue and HAA’s history of regularly adding to this total.
He cannot be allowed to keep having placings chiefly for over-generous wages/expenses while the TK funding debacle just stumbles on from month to month, quarter to quarter, year to year. Before you know it there will be over 10 billion shares in issue prior to “real” work on the mine actually commencing. |
You probably said the same thing two years ago goatherd. They owe Arter a lot of cash, I'm sure the banks are not paying Harry to pay off debts for another project. They need cash and placing is the only thing Harry knows.
So the question is, what price? |
I don't think so Katsy.
I think the question is "Will there need to be another placing?"
And I believe the answer is "probably not".
But if a placing is needed then it is needed, and nothing to worry about. |
I'm sure this question is on every bodies lips. What price the next placing? |

We owe a debt of gratitude for the retro gen too in many ways ;) |
I not old I am retro ;-) |
Yep, and 900 arrived in dinghies Sunday biggest number in 2yrs !!! are we building 900 houses a day, not that anyone who commits a criminal act of illegal migration should get a look in if we did, satelites are tracking 20,000 rogue space debris some the size of 10p, you get the picture |
Nothing "wrong" with the older generation but time for the new to make some money eh? In an ever increasing environment of government debt & corruption, a housing market where kids can't afford to rent let alone buy, where they leave college with a piece of paper that means nothing and up to eyes in debt ...Time for us to fix the system that some of the old timers broke Rob, sorry! |
Ps Your crypto key is much more secure than any bank login believe me. Unless someone can get your 24 keywords correct and in the right order? Now that would take some doing! If you leave those laying around the house or printed on your forehead I guess you're asking for trouble and some people do! You wouldn't display your gold bars on the mantle piece would you?Best to memorise them, etch them in bomb proof metal and bury them or store in an anon vault. The days of bank storage are gone now but who really trusts the banks?! |
LOL And if someone nicks your gold there is no way for getting it back or gets your bank login details and password....Crypto should also be stored in a "vault" and wise folk do..Bad apples everywhere but that's a non argument am afraid. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3e9zkpd0nxo |
I believe the thing that will bring down all crypto currency is the opportunity for fraud and theft.
If someone gets into your digital wallet and removes its comments, there is absolutely no way of getting it back. If someone kidnaps someone else and demands, and gets, a ransom paid in bitcoin, that simply cannot be traced. For this reason I believe central governments (when they wake up) will close down crypto currencies. (How, I do not know, but Governments are very very powerful when they decide on something). |
Bit of a pennant on gold...

What's wrong with the old boomers as a member of generation X I am neutral of course ;-) |
Perhaps you should message all the major institutions that have added an Etf and tell them to listen to you. I am sure they will ever so grateful for your financial advice. For me, I understand it and also understand why the institutions also value it and what crypto is all about and will become. Humbly it has also furnished me with more monetary wealth than I could ever spend during my lifetime and it won't be going away. It is the new money but as always only the folk that see and are in first will become the new boomers ;)GL |
Bitcoin, with absolutely no physical presence is the classic example of a non-investable speculator's plaything.
Gold, however, has held its value, and more, for several thousand years.
Gold for me every day. |
Gisjob2,
"Considering gold being $2600+ at present and likely to trend further north, what do you think will be the share price within the first few days of the second bank sign off, were it to happen this month ?"
Also given that the NPV is over 10p I believe that anything under 5p would still leave it to be a snip.
So I will be surprised, and disappointed, if it is not at least 3p.
But, of course, it is almost impossible to predict the market. |
