I had a limit in @83.75p from 1st thing, but it looked like not getting filled - now watch!!

I've also got it on a SB from yesterday @83.4.

On edit - and there goes the FTSE - PMI in 2 minutes!

I've bought a few more @84.375, which is higher than my original price - but it seemed churlish not to!

Agree, KCOM does seem a boring, relatively safe hold with very attractive, steady income. However the share price has now gone through the bottom of the rising trend channel on the long term (5yr) chart. It's been posting lower highs/lows for the past 12 months + the downtrend has accelerated since the end of July. I don't currently hold + unfortunately I wasn't around yesterday morning when the share price spiked down. I am going to wait + see if this retreats further before taking a position. GLTA

I feel that KCOM are a good hold stock at this share price good dividend and a potential takeover by BT IMHO.

I've added a few more today. That yield is just too, too tempting. A boring, safe, but rock solid income stock. That will do nicely.

I guess people have homed in on the Kcom brand results. "We have implemented a plan to reduce costs and will take further action to accelerate progress to reposition the overall Kcom brand performance." I presume that starts with the 80 redundancies announced a couple of weeks ago.

S/P down today, solid set of results dividend increased I just feel that the Market cannot see any growth in this share.

Highlights
· Continued strong KC brand performance with top line growth, strong cash generation and growing fibre uptake
· Good market share and revenue growth in Eclipse
· Solid underlying performance and market position in Smart421
· Good progress in key customer contracts in Kcom, including HMRC, but broader revenue challenges continue
· Increased interim dividend to 1.79p, in line with commitment to increase full-year dividend by 10% per annum through to March 2016

The very fact that it took 8 days for a reply to my post or indeed any post at all speaks for itself. This stock is overlooked but with around 5.5% yield and a commitment to increase the div by 10% in the next 2 years it is fantastic value. A good result on Tuesday will focus attention back on this share and hopefully push it above £1.

Interims are next Tuesday, wonder if there will be some speculative buying on Monday?

lab305, I only hold for the divi, as has been said it's quite a boring share but you can't get 5%+ in too many places. Interim divi should be c.1.8p.

In today at 91.25p. Shares near 12 month lows, interims due next month. Latest trading update 'in line', strong cash generation with a decent 5+% yield and a progressive dividend policy. It was this or VOD. A nice little earner in my view. I like a quiet board as well - no hype here.

KCOM Group ("the Group") announces today it is entering a close period, ahead of its interim results announcement for the six months ending 30 September 2014. The interim results will be released on 25 November 2014.

Current trading

During the first half year of the financial year, the Group has performed in line with expectations, with continued strong cash generation.

As part of its investment in super-fast, fibre-based broadband in Hull and East Yorkshire, the Group has recently secured its 10,000th "Lightstream" customer. The Group continues to progress its strategy of focusing on key target markets and will give a further update on its fibre deployment and other initiatives at the interim results.

The cash generative capacity of the Group means it is able to continue with its progressive dividend policy while investing in those areas that support the Group's ambition to achieve leadership positions in all its target markets.
