Typical keeping the white collars happy if this had been 95%out with this it would have been slaughtered today. I’ve been a shareholder of companies with great results and get hammered

Maybe JUP are starting their buyback this morning to soak up the selling.

15 x is about right for fund management businesses so I guess 11 x15 = 165p....not for me though.

I am perplexed why it is up? They can't make excuses and blame poor performance due to macro economics for instance

I expected bad results, but main reason I’m out is due to dividend all but being wiped out. I mainly invest for income, so this no longer fits my criteria.

A recovery play. But I see better ones out there at the moment.

The important thing is how Matthew Beasley plans to rebuild Jupiter for the future and there are some mildly encouraging signs, but clearly a lot of work still to do!

I'm surprised by the comments here. The results were always going to be bad vs. last year as there was a c£100m Chrysalis performance fee last year and stock markets also went down...not rocket science!

I was here for the divi too, expected a 50% cut and not for it to be virtually wiped out so adios from me too.

Nice little bounce at open let me get out of here. I’m here for the dividend so it’s adios..

I would rate this at 8 x eps, which is a share price of about 70p.

0.5p dividend is very poor

Yes truly appalling results.

Truly dreadful results

Obviously better to be an employee than a shareholder as I see bonusus continue to be distributed to reward for the underwhelming performance.

The only saving grace is that the numbers are for 31 Dec and the markets have risen a fair bit since then so AUM should be higher and the revenue higher as a result.

Key point from the results is the resignation of the TA Associates Director. It tell me they want to exit their position.

It does look cheap, Top. Trading on 5x depressed EV/EBITDA and trades just under double that historically and with a decent dividend, which pays while you wait. Still plenty of upside. There's also plenty of self-help (closing subscale funds) and the brand is a good one; there are opportunities in the institutional market (though I'd not be that excited as the fees are wafer-thin) and overseas, too.

Everything is up since October! Then, everyone thought the world would buckle under higher costs of living. It's not worked out so badly.

Yes, I'm a bit late but always difficult to time things - obviously, would have been better at a £1, but don't like catching a falling knife and would rather buy into the recovery. Well done though if you caught the bottom. I do hold most of the fund managers. It's just an opening small position for now, as the price has moved back down to its uptrend support, but I also do think the new CEO is starting to do the right things at Jupiter.

Wondering about your timing topvest? I.e why now rather than near the lows last October, since as you know it’s a sector where the shares are very market sensitive. i.e they fall heavily when Fund Outflows are at their worst (as they were last Autumn) but thrive in bull markets. So isn’t it an obvious tactic to buy the dips and maximise dividend yield if they are confident of maintaining the dividend, and then top slice or sell after the big sector gains in bull markets?

JUP is already up about 60% since October, and as I bought then (ditto Polar) I hope you’re right about Jupiter recovery continuing.

I've bought into Jupiter for recovery today. I feel the new CEO is making the right moves. What about a name and brand change with the results next week?
