How timely! |
This will recover by eotd. Seems to have a lotal following. |
pe of around thirty ( 30 ) with no growth. I think outrageous
What would then be the correct price? |
Sharp turnround today. Volatility may be caused by rumours of IHT exemption being reduced/cut completely |
SP likely to fall below £80 soon. SP Over price and extremely high P/E |
Bought a few on friday. Seems a reasonable entry point. |
CEO, Mr Circurel, has sold 60,000 shares at £100 and Norwegian fund Odin Forvaltning has upped it's stake from 6.45% to 8.37%. A significant increase so I assume they must see good value at this price, which is off about 20% since earlier this year. |

Great levels to add more before rally as RNS soon.
Happy days and Great Value at these levels. |
Thanks a lot, Tudes100 |
Shore at 349p adj EPS for FY24, Zeus at 346p |
Aren’t they predicted earnings of 381p? Is that outdated info? That gives p/e of 26.
I’m considering buying in a pullback today. |
Good company had them since 2019. Sold most of them earlier this year and the rest today. They have become too expensive for me at PE over 30 projected. Have pencilled in a buy back at <£80 |
Isn’t this all inline with their July trading update? They said there’d likely be a 20% drop in EPS, and adjusted EPS is 19% down.
Didn’t they have a statutory loss this time in 2023 and only 44p in 2022? Today’s 63.3p reads well enough in that context.
FY guidance remains unchanged.
No nasty shocks here. |
Disappointing results this morning. Profit, eps and net cash all down, dividend up 10% which is the minimum they set themselves. Looking for a positive they expect a significant improvement in the second half. Let’s hope so. |

Sorry, James, but don't understand your reference "the share price may well climb back to the heady levels that you mention".
The reference to "heady" was very tongue in cheek in the sense that I purchased my first three tranches of Judges at £14/£15 (actually should have referred to £14/£17) between 2015 and 2016. Those prices were then considered by many to be "heady". Then I top sliced at £50 in 2020 (another "heady" price) banking a 211% gain and finally added back in 2022 at £68.
All in all still showing a 294% gain at the current very "reasonable" price of £104! (NB quite a way from £14!!!)
I am relaxed and firmly believe that it will reach much a higher (not heady) price in years to come, even if David Cicurel retires as an excellent team has been built up around him |
grahamburn, I think and hope that the share price may well climb back to the heady levels that you mention. JDG is a class act and manages to execute sensible deals on a regular basis. However, I note that it is now having to pay higher multiples of EBIT to secure deals. I wonder when it will next do a transaction on the scale of Geotek, or higher.
I also think that JDG is preparing sensibly for the inevitable retirement of David Cicurel, although I very much hope that he stays around for a few more years, as people of that exceptional calibre are extremely rare. He has done a fantastic job. Maybe JDG will add someone else from Halma? It has become something of a feeder organisation - and no bad thing at that. |
Not anxious, James, just interested that it has shown more volatility than usual, as I noted in 2180.
After all, I have held this share since the then heady days of £14/£15!! |
This sort of thing invariably happens with small caps where traded daily volumes are relatively small. Over time, the share price performance has been excellent. I tend to buy on the dips. No point in getting too anxious about short term volatility on no news. |
Another day of apparent volatility though in reality the offer price was effectively stable whilst the bid price fell sharply(affecting portfolio value) leading to the wide spread during the bulk of the day. |
Judges share price seems to be exhibiting more volatility than usual at the moment, even occasionally swinging dramatically during a single trading session with increasingly wide spreads.
No apparent or logical reason IMO. |
More Lows before more bad news over the weekend.
How Low How Soon ?? |
Now a Strong chance that David Cicurel hangs up his boots !! Estimated value will collapse towards 6000 or even less.
Wot a mess without a leader who ends up smoking a pipe on his rocking chair dreaming and saying ..... IF ONLY !!! |
Massive miss in earnings now testing Lower Lows.
How Low with Lower lows to come.
Dark Future ahead...too Risky to add this year...HOW LOW??? |
