The Board of JPMorgan Chinese Trust plc (the 'Company'), as part of its succession planning, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Alexandra Mackesy as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 27th July 2018.
Mrs Mackesy has over 30 years experience in the investment industry. Since retiring from full time employment in April 2000 and relocating from Asia to the UK in 2002, Mrs Mackesy has focused on a portfolio of UK-based non-executive directorships, as well as acting as a consultant in Asia for her former full time employer, Credit Suisse, and three major Asian-based groups, with diverse global business interests.
Mrs Mackesy is currently a non-executive director on the Boards of The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust PLC and Murray International Trust PLC. She was previously a non-executive director of Schroder Asian Total Return Investment Company plc, Empiric Student Property plc and RENN Universal Growth Investment Trust plc.
Mrs Mackesy graduated from Somerville College, Oxford University in 1985 with an MA (Hons) Literae Humaniores.
