To me it looks like it took some time for the bargain prices to be recognised
then market was swamped with trades hence auction followed by a high volume day

No indication that will happen here, and level of cover provides some reassurance. This is probably a bear raid on back of some forced selling. Whatever, I can hold for the recovery.

Just bought 20,000. Got a 20p dividend goes ex 16 April, payable 15 May. Covered 1.7 times. Bit of a no brainer!

those are the 2019 results, the sale of the Nuclear business has not included

in the accounts, why spout off without reading what the Co has said

solid company positioning for the future.........

So Wood sell nuclear and Industrial Services business for $430M and the debt only reduces by $89M.

Statement re: CMA inquiry into proposed sale of nuclear business

John Wood Group PLC ("Wood") has received formal confirmation from the Competition and Markets Authority ("CMA") that it has no objections to the proposed sale of Wood's nuclear business to Jacobs.

Wood and Jacobs continue to work towards completion of the transaction which is expected later this month.
