If Russia bombs Ukraine then airlines and traffic will collapse. NAS then will either have to cut the deal to 430p or pull out altogether

I think next offer will be next week or by the Monday after?
I assume they have done their due diligence, like what they see, put a couple of bids in already to see if they can get it on the cheap, now is time for offer which can win the shareholders over. They must have a top price they willing to go to, let's see it :)
(Total guesswork obviously)

Was two weeks between the first and second offers here. I’m guessing it will be 2-3 between the last off and any subsequent action. NAS will need to talk to shareholders, advisors and Menzies board before making any moves. May even be the offer deadline.

A bit ott there george?
A new offer will come in.
Senior turned down 5 bids I believe from Lone Star?
This however, will be agreed on the 3rd or 4th offer, max. I think a chunky 3rd would be ideal, but hey.
Personally I think this will get agreed, time will tell. GLA.

I don’t hear anyone crying. Although I wonder who was manipulating Menzies price down recently. Could be interesting for the regulator to check

NAS will Likely be pulling out because MNZS board and shareholders are greedy little brats and crybabies.

9.40? Not unless someone is laundering money it won't.

They might go to 6, but will walk beyond that. Market doesn't have any faith because price is lower that highest discussed price we know about.

Won’t happen unfortunately. This will need shareholders to get involved

Hoping to see RNS with this this week

The Independent Directors of Menzies PLC are pleased to announce that they have reached agreement on the terms of a recommended cash offer by NAS for the acquisition of the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Menzies PLC.

If they dont agree an offer at such a huge premium or better, they will get their asses leathered by the institutions in future

I think it’s important to stress that this isn’t in the hands of shareholders. It’s in the hands of the Board of John Menzies. If they don’t take it forward….shareholders have no say. The only way a deal gets done is to negotiate with shareholders. It’s a concentrated shareholder register. It should be quite easy to secure support from 40% of shareholders.

How does the saying go...
"Just say no twice"
Or something like that, ie accept the third time, it's polite to do so :)

NAS should be in contact with the large shareholders. Management of John Menzies won’t enter into dialogue. Not enough in it for them.

If direct dialogue, deal gets done at 650.

Yep, a bit of bluster, but is a good business if you looking to expand in that sector. MNZS operator in 200 vs 50 airports of potential suitor. So it's quite a catch if you into that kinda thing.
I think it will accept an offer, this month, but like I said 6xx, they can afford it, depends what their ambitions are.

You’d imagine there’d be some direct discussions between the Kuwait’s and the larger shareholders to see what’s needed. Unless the likes of swissport get involved I don’t see that it would need to be raised much higher, if at all. Obviously hope I’m wrong.

Also don’t buy the defence bit about one of scotlands oldest companies…has a real touch of triggers broom about it. Name may be 200 years old but aviation business is relatively recent. Other parts of defence more compelling but we can’t forget this was 280p recently.

The Times said:
The bidder has until March 9 to make a firm offer or walk away, but there has yet to be any groundswell of support from the Menzies shareholder base. Mithaq, the largest investor in Menzies with a 6.63 per cent holding, said it fully endorsed the board’s decision to reject the proposal. Sterling Active Fund, which has the second biggest stake with 6.6 per cent, and SVM Asset Management, the Edinburgh fund manager that has 1.7 per cent, also came out in support of the Menzies board.
