It would appear to be yet another scissor pinch rouse to extort monies from pi's in a corrupt AIM market. So it took the BOD all day to wait to respond to the earlt RNS - meantime punters buying into mug punter land. Good old AIM - good old zero regulation AIMVHO

Why did Proxima issue the RNS and not JKX?

JKX has an attractive cash flow despite current conditions and that should increase from March 2015 if/when the Naftogaz monopoly ends. (It could possibly end earlier depending on the Admin Court's consideration of the appeal - closing date for objections to the appeal was 4 February.)

Most larger shareholders will have bought at much much higher levels that this. Will need to be punchy bid price to go through surely?

Proxima is looking to buy this. They have a special hedge fund to deal with distressed assets - the idea being to buy Russian based assets. JKX has russian operations and it would be a nice tie in with their other ventures.
