I can see points on both sides and don't get that upset over brexit ?All my mates and family voted for brexit ?A democratic vote was won and that's the end of the story ?If another vote takes place in 25 years plus, then that's fair enough ?They all voted to reduce immigration though and that going up 800,000 last year hasn't pleased them. They say they will all vote Reform, but all that does is help Labour ?That's where I believe they might not be the brightest lol ?Principled though?

Nearly all the intolerant Remainer's I know of have properties or some other financial/family connection to the EU, most are not aware or interested in the Politics of what goes on. Yet they often describe those who voted to go out as ignorant, thick and shouldn't even be allowed to vote!
Make's you wonder?

I find people that do not accept a Democratic Vote very difficult to get on with as they no doubt have a lot of strong views but are unable to understand other people's views.
Best they stay out, they are packed enough round my way as it is!

Up at the open for Marsden's then down 1.5% at close... good numbers that JDW should beat easily. Took a few off the table today to be ready to jump in if the market makers run the share price down tomorrow and there is an opportunity. The key metric for me is margin.

"Like-for-like sales rose 7.7 per cent"

How good 7.7% is depends upon how much food and drink prices went up in the last year.

Good read across to JDW

Mitchells & Butlers enjoyed strong sales during the crucial Christmas trading period and expects its annual profit to come in at the top end of forecasts.

The All Bar One and Toby Carvery owner, which also flagged easing cost pressures on Wednesday, told investors it saw 'record sales' on Christmas Day and served 229,000 meals to customers.

Like-for-like sales rose 7.7 per cent in the first 15 weeks of the fiscal year starting 1 October, against 7.2 per cent growth reported in the initial eight weeks.

They bought another £4m today. Given it's a cash business they know exactly how much is going through the till's everyday and have fixed outgoings.
It does have the smell of confidence in the business.

About the only shares that have been going up this Year!

Yes it's interesting they look to be focusing on busy areas like stations where they are doing well and moving away from other places which has suffered with people working from home.Always moving with the times .

Not all the Drinks are on offer or overcheap either. They do Bells £1.99 for a double but I rarely drink blended Whiskey and much prefer Rum or Vodka anyway.
Same thing Lager Drinkers don't usually drink Ales and Real Ale drinkers are the worst with anything, but they do a fair selection and have 200 Pubs in CAMRA so everyone's happy! :-)

I know alot of Pubs round here are just not worth bothering with in the Weekdays and vastly overpriced.
