Dope I didn't know about the Adidas advert. The world has gone mad. In that respect JD isn't doing that bad.
I can't see the JD ad with quad bikes. Maybe JD pulled it. I'm not sure about Europe and the chavvy connotation of the brand, time will tell. 28th come soon!

I suspect it may want their money!
Though not sure it enhances the brand image.

JD in trouble for a stupid advert.

Guess the saying about bad publicity might be true.

Totally different businesses. RR was depressed because flights were heavily impacted due to the "pandemic". Now holidays are picking up and war is certainly helping RR.
EasyJet recovered thanks to the middle class that retained or enhanced disposable income due to pay rise and no impact from base rates increase. Most boomers have their mortgage paid off since immemorabile time. Those with rental properties did even better.
However JDs average customer ends up skint with high inflation. To mitigate that, at least on paper, wage increase is overstripping inflation.
However JD can capitalise over competitors as its plan for expansion seems to be firing on all cylinders for now. I can see good initiative with new franchises, sponsorships, new stores, acquisitions (the latter is a bit debatable as I personally think acquisitions don't help the JD brand, however takes competitors out - CMA permitting).
We will see on the 28th what the management expect for the financial year. They will surely be cautious with their projections. They won't want to over promise and under deliver once again, which is a bit of a shame considering how much JD delivered for a long time.

It won't spike.
The trading update in Jan was quite revealing already. We will miss the £1b pre-tax profit.
JD still be volatile and introduced until inflation goes back down
