24/10/2017 07:32 | SHRE trading update today. Revenue excluding interest is +29%. This is likely heavily impacted by acquisitions. Dealing commission was +54% but trading volumes were +4% on Q316. Their Compeer data says that their peer group saw trading volumes decrease by 6% and dealing commission decline by 14%. Unclear how much of the decrease was driven by Barclays who are part of the peer group. Fee income was +2%. Interest income (5% of revs) +40% but SHRE were earning next to nothing on client deposits so can't read across to JIM. Client cash is £360m. Very hard to judge impact on JIM. Any growth is positive since JIM 2H17 forecasts assumes no growth. Peer group declines in trading concerning but may be partly or wholly driven by Barclays. | gsbmba99
20/10/2017 19:07 | Hi Steelwatch, It is nice to see the share price at 'All time highs' but with the dividend decaration coming on the 9th November or less than three weeks away, a higher share price could mean less shares coming in the DRIP !. Regards. | tenapen
19/10/2017 19:31 | All time highs :o) | steelwatch
19/10/2017 16:50 | Topped up earlier today and then read that Naked Trader has been buying. This will have caused the late flurry of Buys in the last hour. The rally should continue tomorrow. "I bought a stockbroker! Jarvis Group (JIM) which owns X-o which a lot of people use for their isas. Profits are rising fast and the cash under its own admin rose more than 15%. With Barclays terrible new stockbrokers service driving a lot of its customers away I'd have thought Jarvis will benefit." | martinthebrave
17/10/2017 10:08 | At my age I'm not looking for rocket ships that rise and fall and require constant attention. Cruise ships that make steady progress while you sleep or get on with your life are my ideal. I think this ship is in safe hands and should go on making a profit what ever the market is doing and paying a good dividend. A core hold for me. | melton john
17/10/2017 09:51 | Yep, I bought at circa £3.20 with a target of £5.00 so sold a month or so ago. It looks like the prospective interest rate rise is giving it impetus. GLAH. | shanklin
17/10/2017 09:31 | 3yr high. :)) | melton john
13/10/2017 15:10 | I picked up another big 50 JIM shares today after reading the recient results from Hargreaves Lansdown who had theselves picked up some extra clients after brokerage problems at another provider. I'm hoping Jarvis have also benifited from [Barclays] recient stockbroker problems !. | tenapen

13/9/2017 18:02 | I checked the DRIP payment over the weekend and it was not payed in. Looking again just nowthe shares have been added, the statement says they payed on the 7th , not true, not that it matters. I had to 'make a payment' also and i see that they have updated the paying in form, so much cleaner and easier to use :-) Regards. | tenapen
13/9/2017 17:13 | Hi , yes I checked before my previous post and nothing. All there now. Cheers. Strange timing, happens a lot in all sorts of things, just when my patience runs out and almost just before I pick the phone up to complain, things happen/arrive. I wish I had a sixth sense for picking shares too. :-) | melton john
13/9/2017 16:13 | MJ - yes. Credited 7 September to my x-o a/c. Is it that you haven't received the letter yet? If so, check your nominee a/c and cash summary to see whether any residual amount credited. | steelwatch
13/9/2017 15:27 | Has the cash divi been paid yet? Lack of drip shares in my account so far. | melton john
08/9/2017 16:08 | Only comment I have is that they seem to be companies who are a bit desperate for cash for instance Toople, nicknamed Topple by BB contributors, although I haven't looked into all of them. Better to take the commission and forget about them until a really good IPO comes along then shout about it. I hope oneday we will get a slice of decent IPO's. | melton john
08/9/2017 15:57 | tenapen I think the opposite of Peter it gives us an indication of how busy they are. I think it helps busy people who just want to check once every couple of weeks to see how there investment is doing. | poacher45
08/9/2017 15:22 | No offence taken Peter, The answer is 'no reason', I will post them no more. Regards. | tenapen

27/8/2017 14:59 | Hi steelwatch, I will ask next time. Thank You. | tenapen
27/8/2017 09:47 | ten - if you register an account with them, they will pay via BACS. | steelwatch
27/8/2017 07:54 | I See, sorry. My gripe with them is paying by cheque. Three days for te cheque to arrive, you deposits the cheque in the bank the next day and then you have another three working days to clear. If you hit the weekend we are talking nine days to get your money. This maybe OK if yo have money in the bank. But if like me you down to £87 and its a bank holiday weekend and so it will not clear until tuesday ! ten days. Gripe over. Regards | tenapen
26/8/2017 14:39 | But to be fair they are good. | montyhedge |
