A production JV with EP and his team would certainly add some global interest and would be a great fit for both macro and micro US / Brazil political dynamics,....GL S

“Prince says his new fund will focus on unexplored deposits which could be brought into production and then acquired by larger mining companies, and will look to offload its investments within four to five years. “

"Chinese companies are not necessarily interested in the very upstream exploration," said Prince. "They want to buy something in production which leaves that gap for us."

“More than 60 percent for the world's cobalt supply originates from the DRC, which has attracted major investments from Chinese companies including Citic, Jinchuan Group and China Molybdenum”

Berenberg are actually the highest bidder for stock at the moment - 250k @ 1.572p - and also have the highest ask 1.69p

It looks as if Berenberg are up to their tricks again, spitting out 50k trades repeatedly,....GL S.

It's ridiculously cheap at the moment. Great chance of making a very large return on investment at these levels IMO.

swizz,

To be clear, I was not referring to Janagada as 'lifestyle', I was talking in general terms about AIM companies in the sector. Many have been going 10 years plus and achieving very little, and won't be able to finance their mines.

Jangada are not mature enough yet, a newcomer, so they will be judged in 5 - 10 years time, not now, that would be unfair.

Andy, you raise some good points, but I would not class Jangada as a life style company by any stretch of the imagination and I tend to agree with Pilot, I think the situation at Jangada has been exasperated by the market progressing a naked short,...GL S

pilot,

Justin is normally a contra indicator, he gets paid to pump stocks, but in this case I agree with him.

The problem is there are many lifestyle junior mining companies that will never build a mine, but will pay the directors an ongoing salary they would not earn in the real world.

Picking the one that is serious isn't easy, but they all have one thing in common, continuing dilution........

Over time many people have drifted away from the sector because of this IMO......

Justin Waite of Vox fame is out of pre-revenue resource stocks, sounds like marking the bottom. Other articles I’ve read suggest the commodity sector is the only one that isn’t overvalued. For JAN, not convinced there’s an imminent placing. They have the debt facility which they said recently hasn’t been drawn down yet. Given the BoD’s Skin in the game, they’ll be particularly sensitive to dilution. As for the downward pressure, we’ve mentioned Beaufort but looks like an MM short as well. Berenberg are the new Cantors (I say new, those guys just moved over and carried on where they left off).

Wooster,

Well the TSX. Venture Exchange which is largely mining companies is down around 33% this year and still falling, so we have to be approaching a time when value seekers take a look at the mining sector again, surely?

Andy - aim is down 30 percent in a couple of months. Don’t have numbers for the mining index within the wider market but I would guess it’s performed worse. Very similar to late 2015 when the likes of solg was trading at 1p and bmn at 2p. Fundamentals here are exceptional and provide for massive upside. With irr of 66 percent (which should increase following capes reduction) financing should be relatively straight forward.

Going to nearer a penny I reckon. All support gone here as it crashes to lows. Every day looks like a bear mkt with debt galore all over the place. Shame. I just hope jan can survive without a wipe out placing

Wooster,

Do you know the percentage loss in the AIM mining sector in 2018 by any chance?

Genuine question.

I simply put the drop down to the market. If you compare our performance to that of the AIM mining sector, they are virtually identical. Ours might be slightly over emphasised given that the free float here is so small. But ofcourse, that works in our favour on the way up.

Andy, An understandable thought, fwiw, I think the likes of BB are probably building a sizeable naked short, in the hopes a placing does indeed occur at some point in the new year, but I would be very surprised if the Jangada team are running book at this stage and also we are fully funded through to BFS and beyond,...GL S

I know investment funds are dealing with redemptions, and having to sell stocks to meet them, but this is a low liquid small cap, so unless there is a distressed seller somewhere, maybe a placing is a possible explanation for the precipitous share price?

I was in bushveld a few years ago at the depth of the last commodity capitulation - bought in about 2-3 pence and sold at 5-6 pence thinking how clever i was - doh!!!!

A, I think you are spot on with the Beaufort clients selling, this added to the leverage being called in, is just adding to the irrational selling that is going on, it is just knowing when it is going to stop,....lol....GL S
