A large sell today and they are up again - isn't it getting a bit obvious there's a big buyer?

Just posting a reason why they're rising.

Magic - I reckon that's as good as true - these have looked so good recently on the chart, on what the company has said and the large stealthy buying going on in the background for no obvious reason :-)

serratia - No - up on talk of, not fact, although no smoke without fire and all that, but rumours can be started just to manipulate the market.

Your not talking to yourself.I'm not a trader so I don't try to guess what's happening short term.I hold JQV.From a simplistic view if someone sells and the price stays up someone must want them.

I know I'm talking to myself but doesn't anyone thing it strange that these are up today on a 150K sell at a price of 18.5p, after the tick up?

Constant sells yet the price keeps rising as smeone buys by stealth

Creeping up again today on no volume - someone buying by stealth still imo.

Been through the last fortnight's trades again - 2.2m sold in small and large trades - net Yet level II has slightly risen in that time. That's over 1% of the company sold without the price budging.

Well the best thing you can find is a good stock on a dead thread imo - and here we are.

No amount of sells including trades of 1m moving this down but level II rising - 3v3 now.

Someone is accumulating plenty on the quiet here.

Hmm, yep, perhaps it is. So who's buying these up?

Been some keen buying recently.

A sell of 1m and 839K at a premium, and the price is up all day.

Well someone has a buy order in to be driving this up - obviously heard something good at Friday's AGM imo.

I'd check the chart out but it says these are going back to 25p to me, and beyond I suspect.

It's been a while since these performed but they have sorted the pension and the legacy issues. In the 80's these were a fabulous business - if they get back to that they'll be way, way above 25p.

New management that have actually tackled issues rather than duck them imo.

Chart now in a steep uptrend and breaking out.

imo dyor

Blimey, quiet 'ere ain't it?

Directors buying, stock about to break out, trading on a PE of 6.5 and looks like they are ahead if directors are buying. Earnings growth 60%+ this year.

And this BB is dead............I love dead BB's, no hype in the price :-)

The low P/E quoted for last year was due to exceptional income so this year at around 10 it seems fair but a big improvement on last year.If they can hold on to the 4.9% increase they could make 2.5 to 2.7p this year so the share price should have upside. I have no feel for how much of a drag on the price was due to the Bairds problem. They have only a small debt and are cash generative but still have to put money into the Bairds pension.Overall I'll continue to hold as things are improving.

Results came out today. Not too bad at all, given the earlier warning.

Outlook

Since the year end, trading conditions in the retail sector, particularly
fashion retail, have continued to be tough.

Nevertheless the Group's brands have experienced a reasonable start to the new
financial year. During the 11 weeks since the year end sales in the Retail
Division have increased by 8.5% overall and by 4.9% on a like-for-like basis.

I also believe that good progress has been made towards repositioning the
womenswear product offer and efforts to that end continue.
