Praipus, you may have been a little early but looking at the charts above suggest that something is turning around very quickly and all over the world.

Worth bringing this back up, even if just to look at what's happening to inflation linked bonds

"Wary" good description and have forever imblazoned on my mind being unable to trade a Gold ETF when AIG (a counter party) went bust!

That said I still trade them in minimal size as a proxy for futures and started the following thread for the purpose:)

Many thanks Praipus , my interest is that I was wondering whether there was a point at which this ETF becomes an attractive proposition. I observe that this ETF trades between trendlines and it is on the lower trendline now.

Would I be right in thinking that you would be wary of these ?

1. Healthy economic contraction trying to deflate assets.
2. Debt
3. Legacy of government sticking plaster policies started by trying to rescue "too big to fail" companies like RBS etc
Edit:
4. Government able to decide on how inflation is calculated i.e. can move the goal posts for its own purposes. Leave out house price or mortgages or something...!!!!
