19/6/2003 08:02 | lol ....and after that, comes the next step (+1.5p at the open).....lol | ydderf
18/6/2003 09:47 | the longest journey begins with the first (+2p this am)step | ydderf
16/6/2003 13:03 | this is looking very good - the recent complicated figures repay careful reading - however you look at it it's difficult to imagine that it will not be around £1 + sometime in the next 15 months.....this is not a trading stock though and its often difficult to deal in any size ( not now though) - i have been nibbling a few more to add to my holding purchased higher up, one of the very few exceptions i make to my avoid small market caps rule..... | ydderf
25/4/2003 22:44 | Fred/Tony, You're a gem (IyourownHO)! Another classic graph for one of your 'multi-baggers' taken from the day of your recommendation: Of course, I know you will say that you actually sold on 29/8/02 and bought back at the bottom in March 03. If only your foresight was as good as your hindsight! Regards, Ian | jeffian
25/4/2003 19:50 | this is really stealing imho.........let's hope there isn't a cheap mbo though | ydderf
23/4/2003 13:59 | looked through fundamentals - has been instated on my watchlist - price target 50p | sportbilly1
14/4/2003 10:17 | interesting 'dynamic' play here... why is it not yet much dearer.. seems potential upside 20-30% over medium term. I don't presently hold. | hectorp
13/4/2003 17:10 | That NAV....7.5 times its current share price; is still CEU's most attractive feature. Also they've managed to reduce gearing down from 161% to 83%, largely by selling off 19 hotels (5 in the last year or so). Hopefully now that operating profit (and cashflow are both positive we could....before too long... expect to see the dividend re-instated. Its been quite a long process turning CEU around. There's been a few surprises....includi Regards | bird of dawning
11/4/2003 08:51 | .......and, not forgetting, NAV £1.36 per share.... | esrimeur

03/9/2002 22:15 | A couple of years ago CEU (FRH) was on a price/book of around 0.11. For an understandable business with readily quantifiable assets, this looked like a sound value buy...despite neg working cap, c/w the turnaround situation. Gearing still a bit high at 161% (net of cash), but who cares on such a discount? The surprise cancellation of 23.6m of preferreds, earlier this year (did I say `understandable' business?!) certainly hit the right button and increased NAV. Recently I took profits at 43p, but CEU is very much on my watch list as it climbs back out of its downturn....would be nice to see the dividend re-instated eventually. Anybody further interested in small cap value situations may find the thread:- LFC `The Value Thread' (not just about LFC) interesting. There are many small caps listed, nearly all with very sound fundamentals...£1 for 50p! Regards | bird of dawning
01/9/2002 10:50 | C.H.G. (CEU) given all the puffing of Hilton Group in todays rags (haven't they got a good pr outfit!) - all that is said could be said about other hoteliers and including C.H.E - i'm not surprised about the lack of interest here, because i know you are all dog lovers and will probably spend next week in loving adoration at Battersea.......but do yourselves a little favour and take a look - you could even make enough dosh for a years supply of kennomeat!! | ydderf
29/8/2002 16:44 | looks like i'm on the right track - up 6% on a bad-hair ftse day! | ydderf
29/8/2002 08:43 | this is about as certain a two-bagger as you could wish to find - i am so convinced that i think i'll start one of my unique success threads...! | ydderf
14/5/2002 14:09 | Quite a few sales today but good to see the price is holding up very well - especially when this share generally bounces around on no volume with little liquidity. Somebody soaking up shares for things to come perhaps? | bearfoot
09/5/2002 07:59 | Tipped in SHARES mag today as a BUY. | tonyx
08/5/2002 11:06 | Something seems to have attracted attention to this today. Any ideas why? Broker rec? Journo report? | scov
03/5/2002 21:51 | I think Scov's posting says it all-this is undervalued .I have bought & feel 60p is an easy first target with 90p more likely(approx.60% disc) Obviously there will be ups & downs as things rarely go up in a straight line unless there is a bid but IMO this is one of the most undervalued stocks on the market. | pennynet
03/5/2002 19:39 | i am out too, althought i think CEU could go to 60 p | biomax
03/5/2002 19:20 | Biomax. Have to say I have now sold (possibly prematurely). I have to say thank you for helping me 'double my money'. | thecleaner
01/5/2002 19:06 | Can't see the attraction in SAW? Be sure to check out the results of TRN in the morning. I'm looking for £2m profit over 6 months. See if i'm wrong. | thecleaner
01/5/2002 19:01 | Similar to QMOT, check out Hanover Intl. I sold my QMOT on the back of recent rises at a gain of 80%. | thecleaner
01/5/2002 11:17 | Worth keeping an eye on Queen's Moat Hotels (QMOT). Similar recovery story plus low share price to NAV and talk of bids. Check out the bb and DYOR. Good shareholder perks too. | becks0277 |
