27/2/2014 11:48 | Candy floss girls seem to be bringing in the traffic to the stand, not so easy to see if it's the right kind of traffic or just people who've been trawling the show all morning and are looking for a sugar hit to keep going. | tomrob
26/2/2014 13:20 | I'm off to Cloud Expo tomorrow, I'll let you know how busy stand 601 is when I get back. hxxp://www.cloudexpo | tomrob
18/2/2014 16:43 | Ah well; timing is everything they say :-( IOM carrying on business as usual so I hope to see this depressed state over soon. | gerri-c
16/2/2014 23:39 | Not happy that legal and general are bailing out!Rumour is that they are still selling.Caution advised. | kendonagasaki
03/2/2014 10:06 | I am beginning to have hope that this is a good level of consolidation for the next phase up. | gerri-c
24/1/2014 09:42 | I think we'll find that the Moneyweek articles are bang on the button. I suspect that the latest acquisition, though pricey, is growing faster than suggested by the historic figures and that the elimination of expensive data centre capacity and additional marketing will together provide a triple positive uplift to earnings on top of a business moving nicely along in top gear. Delighted that I bought in again at 238p and definitely holding on for the short/medium term. | horizon12
24/1/2014 08:28 | Alternative Networks, the business communications service provider, today announces the acquisition of Control Circle Limited ("Control Circle"), a well-established UK based provider of complex managed hosting and cloud-based services to enterprises and on-line businesses, for GBP39.4m in cash (the "Acquisition"). Some valuation! | lascala
17/1/2014 09:25 | tomrob, Thanks for the information. a link to his article: ..."For instance, analysts are predicting next year's earnings (to March 2015) will increase 26% to £17.5m, which will reduce the valuation to 20 times earnings. Keep going with that sort of growth, and pretty soon the valuation starts to look cheap. But you have to ask yourself, is this sort of growth realistic? In this case, I'd say yes. Looking back over recent years, profit has been growing even faster than the 26% analysts are projecting."... | gerri-c
17/1/2014 08:16 | It would seem most likely that we will shortly receive a holdings update. A good open today. | gerri-c
16/1/2014 17:50 | Interesting RNS, L&G have reduced their holding from 6.9 million to below 5.3 million, transaction completed 13th January. Yet the share price has increased steadily all week. I wonder, should we expect another holding RNS shortly? | phil140158
16/1/2014 17:25 | Having bought back in at 238p, I am a very happy bunny tonight. I fully expect them to be at 300p+ by the time the trading statement at end March emerges. | horizon12
16/1/2014 16:11 | Bengt Saelensminde of Money Week covered them in an email that went went out yesterday afternoon/early evening. The article did seem to have incorporated some misconceptions over the acquisition of Backup Technology but it was broadly positive so that could have contributed to todays trading and price movement. | tomrob
16/1/2014 15:43 | 4 (19,468) v 1 (1000) the most positive for some time. | gerri-c
06/1/2014 21:37 | Lovely share , great business sold on profit . Shame the BOD are paying them selfs so much .. Admin expenses (8.8m to 11.9m!) which affected the bottom line profits and shareholders equity somewhat If there wasn't so much new debt and board wages wasn't so crazy I would love to still be in here . My guess the so would be somewhere in the £3.30 plus area if profits for half year were 5m instead of staying flat Imo ? | fruitninja84

17/12/2013 17:10 | I have IOM in an ISA, so long term holder. I expected the share price to slump following the results/update, after all a high PE in a growth tech stock is not unusual, but you would expect high levels of organic growth to justify the PE and that didn't happen. So pleasantly surprised by pick up in the SP! | phil140158
14/12/2013 20:38 | Brokers don't understand cloud computing - not many people do | jarbie
14/12/2013 18:56 | broker reports were negative | dewtrader
14/12/2013 18:12 | Dewtrader - I am not sure if Google and IOM operate in the same market be it that they both deal in Cloud computing - correct me if I am wrong I am also not sure that IOM trading report was that bad as seen by others | jarbie
14/12/2013 08:16 | Google launches compute cloud (and slashes prices) to rival Amazon Web Services After an 18-month preview period, Google's Compute Engine (GCE) is finally ready for prime time. On Monday, Google announced "general availability" for its cloud compute project, which now includes a service level agreement that guarantees it'll be available 99.95 percent of the time. The American tech giant also introduced a few new GCE features, including 16-core instances and faster persistent disks, as well as price cuts for its standard instances and persistent disk storage. (If we've already lost you, think of cloud "instances" as virtual servers that can run applications.) This price slashing must be killing IOM imho | dewtrader
11/12/2013 19:02 | I'm going to get in here but wait until the dust settles maybe about 190? Hopefully :) | fruitninja84
