Liz Truss hasn't ruled out a windfall tax.
Probably means she will do it!

The future looks bright

GAS
Day Ahead - 320.00p/th
Year Ahead - 408.48p/th
Front Quarter - 462.47p/th
Front Month - 372.24p/th

I'm having that can of Fosters tonight while watching England in the semi-finals. The women's team don't seem to be jinxed like the mens' team which is refreshing after all the disappointments of the past!

🍻

You wonder where we could be if it weren't for that seller flooding the share price with those 12k combination sales.

If Canada returns the turbine to Russia and puts it in place then Putin will come up with some other excuse to stop the oil flowing I suppose.

"European gas prices have surged 20 per cent in two days after Russia deepened supply cuts to the continent in Moscow’s latest attempt to weaponise energy supplies.

Futures contracts for delivery next month tied to TTF, the European benchmark wholesale gas price, jumped about 10 per cent on Tuesday to €195 per megawatt hour, the highest level since early March, a day after Russia warned of lighter flows on the largest pipeline supplying the region. Prices are more than five times higher than a year ago.

Russian state-backed energy group Gazprom said on Monday that flows on the Nord Stream 1 (NS1) pipeline would plummet to 33mn cubic metres from Wednesday because of turbine maintenance issues. That would amount to a fifth of the pipeline’s capacity and half of current levels."

UK natural gas futures were trading around the 350-pence-a-them mark, a level not seen since early March, underpinned by uncertainty over Russian supplies and elevated demand from the EU. Russia's Gazprom said it would reduce flows through the Nord Stream pipeline, citing issues with turbines, delivering only 33 million cubic meters daily, roughly 20% of its capacity, forcing European buyers to find replacements like LNG. Still, the channels linking Britain to the EU have been working at maximum capacity. The UK has been using its excess regasification capacity to import more LNG and resell it as natural gas to Europe. .https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/uk-natural-gas
