The RAB holding is interesting as they disposed of their TMC holding some weeks ago. Seems they still have faith in the project then.

Markets up!
Nickel up 47.6 cents to over $14 again; 3.4% !
TMC up 12.5 pence; 5.2% !
and
IVK down 1 pence !

Quiet board, so I thought I'd try and wake it up...

Thats a good point pec2004, I purchased a few IVK shares some weeks ago at around £1.80, I also purchased more TMC shares at £2.19 (my core holding has, and still is with TMC). IVK have certainly lagged well behind in price, and moves on very little volume.

IVK dual listed in Australia and on AIM and therefore eligible for ISA = no CGT.

IVK listed in Australia and subject to full CGT. TMC listed on AIM and benefits from business assets tax relief - 50% CGT after a year and 25% CGT after two.

I had a gain of £1/2 million at one time on TMC but had only held shares a short time. All disappeared but I expect it will come back in time and then subject to low CGT.

Strow,

Its just so pants that the mms always line this with tmc, whether people are buying/selling here or not-it should not be allowed imo-they just dont want anyone to have a cheap way into tmc it seems, but cant see how they can be allowed to move it in line

Sorry, but that's ridiculous.

If there was an agreed takeover offer for IVK at £5 a share, would you not expect them to mark the shares up accordingly?

Equally, they will always react to good/bad news by moving the price initially.

The market makers often have long/short positions in the shares like the rest of us, and are simply pricing at what they see as a 'fair' level.

MM - I've done the same for pretty much the same reason, although the last time tmc was 280 on the way up the gap was about the same. The higher the prices the bigger the gap (simplistically). However, it seemed that CK has been a regular buyer of IVK rather than TMC and IVK also has other projects that could release good news.

Interesting to compare the charts of TMC and IVK.

When TMC last traded at 280p, IVK was around the 240p level (vs the current 210p). Accordingly I've been buying IVK.
