My memory is a bit vague on this but when BIPS was created in the merger of the two previous funds, IIRC the 11p dividend was "committed to" for the next 3 years and I'm guessing we are about half way through that.

The dividend has been a matter for discussion for some time by the fund manager and with the base rate down at 0.1% it wasn't sustainable. Even at 0.75% it wasn't sustainable.

StockInvest US have this hitting 1.43 in the next few months. Irrespective of whether they are correct, surely the divi needs to be reconsidered here?🤷‍;♂️ 9300;🤔

It's challenging out there. Everything got pushed up to such ridiculous prices by all the money printing and now it's coming off reality returns. Still a way to go imho, alhtough we are at least reaching a point where some of the underlying assets are appropriately priced.

My sense is that the market has had enough pain for now, but it's hard to call. I'm not buying though. The NAV will be less than 170p today and I want a decent discount.

#panshanger1 Jeez the spread here is ridiculous this morning. I was thinking of having a small dabble today when the price hit £1.60 only to find out the market makers spread is 7p!! No doubt it save me catching a falling knife … 😂😂😂🙄 8584;

I agree that increased credit risk is going to be a challenge but if it’s wiping the NAV out from such a low base Lord help us all. I guess there are many in the market who don’t remember rates being regarded as comfortable in the 3% to 7% range. 🤷‍a94;️

The instruments in the porfolio have repriced down with the path of increasing interest rates and increased credit risk.
