Eco-Reinforcement Scheme Council Designates Intertek as Its Preferred Vendor

Intertek expands sustainability services to include Eco-Reinforcement certification

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, has been designated as the preferred vendor for Eco-Reinforcement certification by the Eco-Reinforcement Scheme Council.

Eco-Reinforcement is a trademark developed to identify responsibly sourced reinforcing steel, which ensures building and construction specifiers and contractors that they are purchasing reinforcing steel from a supply chain that is pro-actively addressing issues of sustainability. The third-party certification scheme for Eco-Reinforcement has been developed in conjunction with the reinforcing steel industry to comply with Building Research Establishment (BRE) Global’s BES 6001: 2008 Framework Standard for the Responsible Sourcing of Construction products.
