22/6/2007 09:37 | A lot of absolute rubbish spouted on this board over the last 24 hours by posters who have obviously taken short spreadbets without doing any research at all and are hoping to talk the price down further. polzeath, ramptastic, tsigoloroh, 68steve you are all filtered. | atomic dog
22/6/2007 09:27 | SteMiS Thank goodness you (and one or two others) have managed to remain analytical and focussed on the numbers. Of course yesterday's news was unwelcome - in fact I tried to sell some of my holding at 25p but couldn't in any size - but a fall to 15p is a total overreaction IMO. So much so that I've turned buyer this morning. I do think that Maz deserves a good kicking over the way this has been handled - but maybe the effect on his personal wealth has been kicking enough for now. | spacecowboy3
22/6/2007 09:22 | They would have to be congratulated if they are indeed attempting a MBO or more probably a share buyback. | omlaysause
22/6/2007 09:19 | I dont think its something you should be congratulating the management about. | ![]() lqs
22/6/2007 09:15 | How to shave 12 million off a companys value in less than 24 hours, well done management! (hint of sarcasm) | ![]() cr4zyness

22/6/2007 09:13 | Same old pattern will emerge I reckon. Lots of attempts to drive the share price further down. Trade the bounce a couple of times. Loss of interest and then wait for the speculators. | ![]() yump

22/6/2007 09:05 | yes but profits are in decline, next year has the possibility of being even worse remember profit warnings often come in 3's | tsigoloroh

22/6/2007 09:03 | Well they are now down 45% in less than 24 hours from the pre RNS price just prior to midday yesterday. For a company that is both profitable and still experiencing growth that is really disasterous achievement by both the management and their advisors. Share price is back to where it was two years ago before they were even profitable. The shareholders have been very badly let down ! | ![]() masurenguy
22/6/2007 08:59 | Unfortunately I guess this thread will now attract the pound shop investors. Will still be following, although more or less sold out now. Still have big interest in affiliate marketing as part of our business. Perhaps it wasn't so wise to have another egg in the basket in the form of a financial investment as well. | ![]() yump
22/6/2007 08:54 | SteMiS Quite. £30mln would imo be a power of 10 out, after all we are looking at a company with the word 'internet' involved ;-) | ![]() yump
22/6/2007 08:49 | tsigoloroh, Read my post. Its the holding company reserves NOT the consolidated reserves which matter. | ![]() stemis
22/6/2007 08:49 | SteMiS The problem is that they have been talking about increased development spend, so I reckon they've got little or no spare cash to buy shares back with anyway. I'm surprised by the announcement yesterday because Maz, of all people, understands the very careful management of precious resources such as cash. | ![]() lord buffett
22/6/2007 08:45 | THe P&L account shows a £3m deficit so they cant buy any shares back anyway!! Well not unless they want to breach the Companies Act | tsigoloroh
22/6/2007 08:45 | Would expect some chunky sells today 200k+,was expecting them yesterday but maybe MM`s won`t take such size... | 68steve
22/6/2007 08:43 | At the last accounts it had £1.375M so enough to buy about 9M shares (12%), plus anything else its generated in the meantime. Ed: Its the holding company reserves not consolidated reserves which matter in determining if it can buy back. | ![]() stemis
22/6/2007 08:41 | Personally I think share buybacks are a waste of valuable resources, especially for a small company like IBG. They may have an effect short term, but the MMs will simply mark the price back down again when the support stops, on little or no volume, back to where it was before; all to no avail. That's the way the small-cap market works unfortunately. The only way shares recover is by having a stream of good news in the pipeline to positively change investor sentiment, creating genuine demand for the shares. | ![]() lord buffett

22/6/2007 08:38 | 2 days in a row as the biggest losers!? ...... never thought I see that for IBG. | omlaysause

22/6/2007 08:36 | how much cash have they got for the use of share buy back? | divinausa1 |
