12/12/2002 22:15 | I like the look of it now but at the moment it's sat right on 830 support. Waiting for that to break. I notice Tom Bartlam dumped a load at 845p recently. | smoketrader
03/10/2002 00:30 | think I got the prize, rang city index while 663 offer, put order into the market, buy xxx at 663 ( to close ), almost immediately the offer price moved to 777, ending up buying there, my worst trade for a year at least | alexx
03/10/2002 00:23 | Ouch! My stop was guaranteed at 720, the downside to that of course is the increased spread combined with the borrowing charge for this stock meant I was up to my neck in margin before we even started. | smoketrader
02/10/2002 13:02 | Good trading discipline from Robbie Burns (frequenttrader) yesterday. He didn't try to outguess the market and exited his trade with a small loss. If he had gambled on the results he would now be sitting on a large loss. | superdealer
02/10/2002 08:21 | I was not so much stopped out as blasted out. The limitations of non guaranteed stops was brought home to me since my limit was exceded by 26 points. | bangor
02/10/2002 07:54 | Oh well, looks like I'm out. | smoketrader
02/10/2002 07:51 | found, no flag showing, profits +4% | alexx
02/10/2002 07:48 | anyone see any results, price reacted already | alexx
01/10/2002 20:53 | Results tomorrow innit? Tanking time perhaps. P.S. I notice Burns wussed out. | smoketrader
30/9/2002 21:03 | Could be a short squeeze, I've noticed similar things have happened previously with this stock just before a big drop. I'm surprised it didn't drop today considering the rest of the market tanked. The support/resistance on this chart seems to be pretty vague. With a bit of imagination I can make out an ascending triangle on declining volume, with the top line being in the long term resistance zone around 735. The price broke to the downside on the 19/09 with an increase in volume confirming the downside breakout. It then rose to retest this line on 26/09 before dropping back again. All a bit vague though. Incidentally the recent sharp bounce seemed to come exactly at a 61.8% Fib level. The price is now stuck in a period of low volatility - moving averages, MACD, RSI etc tend to flatline in these situations. Stochastics is approaching overbought and starting to turn, IMHO this is the one to watch and may signal the start of the next drop. First target the long-term trendline at 650, then who knows? Could reach 550. My stop is at 720 though so it may be too late for me. | smoketrader
30/9/2002 11:39 | looks like a possible short squeeze coming, 3000 net buys showing and +4p with UKX -132. In this market a short squeeze will only work against someone over invested, in the past I have ridden these out ( quite easy to bear if you have other shorts going down that can temporarily take the strain ) | alexx
30/9/2002 10:49 | Smoke Trader When you look at this chart do you by any chance see a humongous deformed head and shoulder forming, or perchance is it the Loch Ness Monster? In any case it can't defy gravity and the financials are suffering so hopefully only a matter of time before it follows suit. | bangor
26/9/2002 00:11 | Oops - spoke too soon :) | smoketrader
24/9/2002 10:26 | Straight through gap support. | smoketrader
20/9/2002 09:37 | Opps - spoke too soon... | bangor

19/9/2002 11:37 | A sell below the £7 level. A few more of them would be very nce ;-) | chaspebble
18/9/2002 09:17 | You're not alone. I am re-shorting having made a bit on them a couple of months ago. My analysis is incredibly deep, well-researched and meticulously planned. I am shorting for one simple reason: because Evil is. Is that sad or wise? Probably the latter. | benson
18/9/2002 08:52 | MM's taken this down this morning now they've got rid of a lot of stock First trade of day just gone through, has failed to reach high of a few weeks ago | alexx
12/9/2002 09:27 | A lot of buying earlier in the week and a sharp spike up, six trades today ( sells ) and we're down a little I seem to be monopolising this thread but others may use it | alexx
05/9/2002 15:59 | yes, 6p premium was a good sign [ see post 45 ] increased stakes just now, quite big delayed trades this morning looking like sells | alexx
29/8/2002 09:05 | re-opened short today having panicked out of previous a couple of weeks ago, market gloom about to decend again? 6p premium - have normally found this is a good sign | alexx
23/7/2002 13:53 | and me, 672 1/4 for Dec bet + 7p premium market was at 670/8 | alexx
23/7/2002 09:49 | Have shorted at 677. | benson |
