Wouldn't be surprised to see another holding RNS in the next few days.

This is already a bid candidate in my opinion. Much lower and it is likely to be sooner than later. PE way down even taking into account the fall in earnings. My worry is that it might be taken out below it's real value.

It is ugly if you are on the wrong side of the move.

And it is even uglier for those who bought higher up in the belief that the move lower at the end of March was overdone to begin with.

I do tend to agree that around the 40p level may provide some support but given the speed of motion in this share, it would not surprise to see the share price overshoot to the downside.

Nothing ugly in my opinion chartwise. Quite likely the final wave of the correction of the previous big growth from 20p to 120p. Now we may see 40p, but don't think much lower. Any views ?

Pretty ugly charting pattern under development with the possible beginning of the third major wave down.

The one "positive" may be the coming presence of sequential former-resistance-turned-support levels which could serve to limit downside.

Me too DP. Don't suppose Norges Bank too happy either.
Bit of a sudden drop, anyone any news suggestions? Something bad or are mms trying to flush out some sellers? I think there has been some stake building going on over the past few weeks the way the price has been rising and falling.

someone accumulating prior to making or expecting a bid and doesn't want to spook the share price upwards too quickly?

It has failed about 3 times at the 64 level in recent weeks, if we can get through that might we see a steady climb back up?

almost every day there is a late spike in the price, is someone buying in the hope of a net day announcement? A steady climb back up to 90-£1 would be nice!!

May 21st LONDON (SHARECAST) - Panmure Gordon has revised down its 2010 earnings forecasts for Intec since meeting with the management of the company this week but was sufficiently impressed with management's decision to reconfigure the business to upgrade the shares from 'sell' to 'hold'.

"Pleasingly, management was in confident/upbeat form and has a better view on its go forward strategy," Panmure analyst George O'Connor said.

"Overall the message Intec Telecom left us with was that it was late into an industry-wide downturn; we remain concerned about the competitive and pricing outlook. In addition there was news of a new strategic partnership with CSC which was inked mid-April. This addresses one of our long-term gripes – we want Intec to widen its channel reach, enable partners to do more implementation and so improve operational leverage," O'Connor added.

News that the company is contemplating paying a special dividend later this year will doubtless please existing Intec shareholders but the broker still feel there is not enough news to encourage fresh buying interest.

"Investors see a 'bid' as the next catalyst for the shares but restructuring may well defer suitors," O'Connor concludes.

Bid rumours are certainly circulating for this co as one would expect....... world class in its field generating significant amounts of cash who's crown has recently slipped. However the quick and decisive action taken to cut costs has been well received and it they could add a few new contracts then the recovery story will begin to have greater credence.

It is well known that US tech stocks are sitting on piles of cash looking for opportunities which sterlings weakness is clearly presenting them with. For anyone contemplating a corporate move however, they find themselves in a pincer movement of a recovering share price
and diminishing opportunity. Interesting .....

Well spotted Easygoing

Can't believe that this news alone though has been responsible for today's 6m shares traded and 8.5p rise.

Intec Telecom boosted by bid talk
By Bryce Elder and Neil Hume
Published: May 22 2010 03:00 | Last updated: May 22 2010 03:00
Intec Telecom Systems edged up 1.9 per cent to 55p after Execution Noble analysts said the billing software maker looked vulnerable to a bid.

"We believe that the near-term value here is primarily as a M&A target," said analyst Arun George. He added that Oracle and Israeli software maker Comverse were likely to be interested.

The broker added Intec to its "buy" list with a 68p target price.
