Sharp rises these last few days; any fundamental reason?

Discount has closed slightly. Would be tempted if it widens but not sure that is the way it's going.

Happy with the update this morning and still well discounted to NAV. With a chunky dividend yield now, I think I will be adding to my position here.

Remains on a discount of over 10% to NAV.I thought the introduction of a dividend might narrow the discount but it's not to be.

Great rise and BIOG.

More that double the NAV discount to BIOG. Considering that the share price of each near enough tracks the other is totally nonsensical.

I used to be in this and WWH and Biog but have switched to BB BiotechTrust. It pays a 5% dividend. NAV is about £4 billion from memory and is Swiss based. I still have a small IBT holding. I've not found any negatives on BION (epic) yet. Please post if you dig some up.

This is where my ARM money is going for sure. Lets hope the vote on divi and un-quoted investments goes through.

I've been looking at biotech funds for a while now and just took a position here - I think when investors cotton on to the 4.5% divi yield / normal access to growth a fund like this offers the discount will narrow over time.

"Subject to shareholder approval, the first dividend is expected to be declared in December 2016 and paid in January 2017. The dividend payments should help to further align shareholder interests with portfolio performance"If they pay 4% of NAV,that would equate to a yield of around 4.5% given the discount to asset value.A real attraction and hopefully the perennial discount to NAV will narrow markedly as a result. The move into the unquoted investment arena is mirroring what Woodford has been doing to a lesser extent.Good strategy imo.

Read Edison's note on INTERNATIONAL BIOTECHNOLOGY (IBT), out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research-tree.com/company/GB0004559349

"International Biotechnology Trust (IBT) is a long-established specialist fund investing in listed (c 90%) and unlisted (c 10%) companies in the high-growth area of biotechnology. After several years of strong absolute returns, the past six months have seen a sell-off in the sector, arguably sparked more by political pressure and investor risk aversion than by company fundamentals. While a resumption of bull market conditions is uncertain in the near term, the demographic factors and scientific advances underlying innovation..."

I would wait for the obvious support level at around £3.20 and then re-evaluate. Looks like a complex head and shoulders top to me, so the decline has further to run if I'm right about this.
