The bonus issue was well covered on these boards three years ago and it was a great shame that the timing of them created a gulf between investors and the directors. Clearly the share price performance has softened that over the years and sadly some investors gave up on the company at the time.

That said this company is over 50% held by private investors so we do count as very important shareholders and karoo who held over 14% at one point have sold out now so one would expect institutions to start appearing on the register at some stage.

IS Thanks. Yes was aware of that! :-0 There are some well known PI's who still refuse to look at the Co as a result of that.

LOL! There were some ructions about directors bonus levels and profit sharing arrangements a few years ago which caused many private shareholders to march on the AGM with pitchforks. Quite a few sold out, bashing the share price to the level at which I was happy to invest :-)

Too many negatives for some institutions:
Odd third party funding (see Beaconsfield)
Directors bonuses might fall foul of in-house rules
Not specific enough business - is it a builder or a land buyer and seller ?
JVs with Candy etc make it hard to take over.

Those are reasons why I think INL will remain independent for a good while yet - it will get itself taken over only when the main guys want to retire.

The list of major shareholders on the website suggests Inland are totally off the radar and maybe the menu for institutional investors ?? Comments ?

No ones picked up on the trading update section re fwd planning applications

"The Group has recently received a resolution to grant planning consent for 351 residential plots at its site that was the former Meridian TV Studios in Southampton. Planning applications for 329 residential plots across 8 development sites are currently being considered by various local authorities with further applications for 1,196 residential plots to be made in the near future."

That's quadrupling the no. of applications...

David well said. Dt10 is trouble on all bb tbh.Anyway, based on twitter it seems the recent sale of lots was a great success.It seems tre notice of results is ignored this year as they mentioned notice in their last update.

That's not exactly earth-shattering speculation given that they said in the recent trading update "The Board of Inland Homes provides the following update on trading ahead of its preliminary results announcement for the twelve months ended 30 June 2014, which will be released in September 2015."
So results will be this month.
