I expect the bond will eventually be restructured into a bank facility easing the balance sheet and freeing up current restrictions. The company has good revenue and assets, we own multi fields already and the potential for 9 new fields in the 33rd round How much does it cost to pipe gas though your own pipeline and processing plant and directly into the national grid, Can't be hardly any expense imo.

I do think someone like KIST might be interested in buying them for a few cents onthe debt though. Maybe even 50% of the value of the secured debt if they were feeling generous. I think debtholders would jump at the chance. Still equity wipeout.

I do want the share price higher though.

I don't think there is a hope in hell of getting anyone to buy IOG for tax losses. For starters most of the tax losses are ring fenced under the poor assets they have and so cannot be used. The rest if transferrable (very dubious) would not be significant enough. The bonds have change of control event so some sort of deal would have to be done with the bond holders and equity wiped out regardless.

The bondholders will get to the point where effectively bankrolling the BoD salaries is not in their best interests. The best outcome for shareholders would be a takeover for the tax losses and minimal production net to IOG, that's what I was holding out for as unless gas prices rocket the figures clearly don't add up going forwards.

Even taking into account a rise over winter the cashflows from from gas and condensate come nowhere close to making a dent in the debt.

I want the share price much higher but you have to face reality.

Alright Jack we'll see what a reliant UK & Europe do to gas prices this winter shall we :D hope your shorts are worth the extra risk of 2.7p :D suppose the 1% short from GSA isn't too many shares to close. But my take is this will be 5 x todays prices by year end ;)

Except:

1. The Company has chosen NOT to service the bond suggesting that there is something wrong somewhere. And, at the same time, the Company has chosen to utter the dreaded "stakeholder" word where the word "shareholder" would more normally be used.

2. There is zero prospect of the Company being able to service the bond and properly repay it in Sept 2024.

3. An assumption that the bond "can be restructured" starts from the position that the Company is in control of the situation. However, that's the exact opposite of the truth. The Company has already defaulted, it must now dance to the tune that the bondholders play.

Now dance, little piggy. Dance and oink for me.

I recommended these to my wife so my fate will be worse that most.I think the BOD should be disqualified from holding future office.Andy will be laughing his head off, if he can laugh in that shirt.
